I guess just go out there and experience the real thing whether that's with life or whatever. Easier said than done though and that's what makes the substitutes so comforting. Reality is overrated anyway though.I know this is probably not the answer you're looking for, but the best option is to forge legitimate connections.
I'm also a recluse, who would always prefer rotting in bed to socializing, but loneliness kills.
