when you get outside of realism/scientific perspective, this is not the only theory that you can come up with. chances are infinite if you're gonna go that way. because of this i don't really pay attention to any kind of metaphysical thoughts, you can just say something that is not approvable and you can't know if it's true or not; eternally.

I remember once reading a little story where Albert Einstein theorized that the universe would always return to the same starting point after everything ended. That everything would always happen the same way over and over again.

Some people also believe that they have already possibly died of something.

Then we're screwed presumably- unless there's a way we can 'make up' for having killed ourselves multiple times in previous lifetimes.

Depends on your religion I guess. If you believe in all that- try and find out what you need to achieve to end the cycle. Is it Budhism? Become a strict Budhist I guess. Start praying for forgiveness for stuff you don't even remember doing in a previous life!

The way I see it is- I don't remember previous lives. Maybe that's correct though. Maybe an earlier incarnation of 'me' decided to 'off' themselves and 'we' have been punished ever since. What made 'me' want to kill myself to begin with though? What made that initial act so 'wrong' that 'we' have been made to suffer ever since?

I don't know- so many religions seem perverse to me. Like- you are supposed to meekly accept suffering and not fight back- because it's the will of God or something. Even if it's the will of Satan- God is presumably stronger. Why does he/she/it let it continue?!! To prove your loyalty/ obediance/ gullability (sorry!) to God? Why?

Imagine if me or you started a club where our followers had to endure excruciatingly painful rituals and they couldn't question why and they couldn't object or fight back- or else, we'd punish them for eternity. We'd be labelled a sadistic psychopath! How come God gets away with it and some people even love them for it?!! WHY does God love the meek? Surely he/she/it designed us to question. They must have KNOWN we'd end up like this- they're God- they know everything right? I just can't see it as anything but some sadistic game but if it's real- then, we have no choice but to take part I guess. That's why I'd really love to be an out and out aetheist. If there is a God, I think we're screwed.

dangg, this is the same question i ask myself too. Having infinite lives; "checkpoint" or saving point, like in video games; loop stuff, and other shitty theories haha.

I don't believe in any of the past lives theories/reincarnation, I believe that we came from nothingness and will return to it after we die, once we lose consciousness that's it for us. Death is the end of this nightmare as we will finally return to the ideal state of non-existence which was tragically disturbed by us being forced into this world.

If that means I get to relive the first 10 years of my life I honestly wouldn't mind, while my life back then was far from perfect it sure was a lot better than the nightmare my current life is. I don't see myself reaching the same highs as I did then even if I somehow manage to get better, some things just can't be unseen.

don't believe it but thought of it as like an interesting concept. you know that saying that you see your life flash before your eyes right before you die? I like to think that I've already lived life and all this is just a big flashback before I faint out and permanently die. very unlikely lol but kind of cool I geus

Forced to live over and over again

Please no, I wouldn't want that especially with what I have experienced in this lifetime I wouldn't want to go through this again.

I just hope I will never be born again as one time is more than enough for me.

However, having said that I don't believe in any of that. I believe that once you die you just vanish.
