  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

Is it just me or is anyone else afraid of returning to the afterlife? Like, I speak in some quantum way, you know? I do not know. What if the cycle of life continues in a way that we don't know yet and we end up back to square one again - life, since life and death can be part of the same coin? What if the coin continues to rotate in the way I mentioned? Sometimes I think that the fungi and bacteria that will devour me in the decomposition phase will go somewhere through the cycle of nature and cause life to come back again through food. It's a paranoia I've had for a long time. Maybe I'm going crazy or I'm just a paranoid donkey. Sorry for wasting your time. My English sucks too, so sorry again.

This thought makes me not want to die in this city I'm in, because everyone here is fucked up and I don't like the weather here. Maybe I have to wait longer and move to another country. I think I'm going crazy.

The unknowns of the afterlife is a big factor in what keeps me from doing it too.

There's so much that could happen, it does drive me crazy too, thinking of all the possibilities. I hope for there to be nothing, so I can finally be free from all of this.

Or just something good to happen, people suffer so much living, having to deal with more after death isn't right.

What do you mean by a quantum way? Do you think that the subatomic particles in your body and their phenomena can take a role in your conscience?

For me, it's quite clear that our conscious mind is a macroscopic phenomenon. Our cells die and regrow constantly and we are unaffected, we can lose any part of our body, even some brain matter, and we can still feel like being ourselves. A single cell and all of its matter has, apparently, nothing to do with our mind. It's something "on top" of the collective of cells in a way that not a single one of them is special, but only the entire group.

Your English is fine. Who knows, really? It's all a crap shoot. I can only base my decisions on what I know in this world and the understanding of how things work here. I was not "in the room", so to speak, if some other mystical, unknown, or not even understood other reality was created at the same time as the one we know. I understand that when we're gone, we're gone. Everyone who dies, after enough time passes, will turn back to dust. I know of nothing in our laws of physics that assigns any qualities for the creation of life to dust. Dust is devoid of life as we know it. Likewise I know of no physics that supports the idea of "past" life coming back full circle through decomposition and food. In this world where I am, I can only go off of the laws of physics that have revealed themselves to us, not the unknown unknowns that may or may not be.

I don't understand why people don't want an afterlife or reincarnation. why would you not want another shot to make a good life if the chance was given to you. As someone who's potential has been damaged and can't achieve success anymore in this life I would give anything for another shot, I'm just not physically capable of living the life I want.

Honestly, I don't believe in reincarnation, but I wouldn't want it because you have no idea what you come back as. It may be worse than how you started your current life.

There is no evidence that any of this exists, I think that it is best not to read about this kind of stuff. Whatever is waiting for us when we die will come one day no matter what and there is no escaping it. I personally believe that there is non existence, when we die, we cease to exist and nothing could change my mind on my views. I fear this life instead of fearing what comes after this, this existence really is so horrifying and the thought of dying brings me a lot of comfort.

My fear is definitely that of coming back to finish what was started, so to speak. Fear of reincarnation keeps me here for now.
