• Hey Guest,

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

this is basically just me updating what happened to me today, ??

I usually hide my scars, but i live in SEA and days has been insanely hot lately. so when i commute with BRT, i usually take my jacket off.

When i was about to switch my bus, a girl, maybe around my age. Asked if i'm okay since i looked really out of it (i was just zoning out, really). i said yes. i mean, a stranger suddenly approaching me makes me cautious. but then, she asked if she could hug me. Then it clicked to me that she saw my scars. I tried making the situation like a 'girls' situation, hugging like usual. She just said "i hope you're doing alright" and i left.

It didn't magically make me okay, of course. Im still confused that a stranger would hug me. But this is the first time someone did that to me, and i didn't know how much comfort it would give me.

I didnt think i lack that much comfort over the years and i always handle things by myself, and comfort through text just don't do much for me, unfortunately. I think i'd be in a better place rn if i have someone like that years ago.

I am so elated to hear you had such a moving experience, and I'm sorry it took so long for you to finally receive this form of comfort in real life. Although it may not offer you the same relief to receive attempts at comfort through text, I want you to know regardless that I would extend the same care given the opportunity. There are absolutely others willing to offer you the comfort you seek, and I hope you continue to find it wherever you go.
