I like to think you just reincarnate into an alternative universe or are reborn. But then again who really knows.

From what I understand we come from the afterlife or "other realm" by choice and we stay here to learn lessons by choice as easy or as hard as they can be by choice before sometime eventually returning back to the afterlife where we go over what we learned and what we could have done better. Some what like a book report. In this scenario suicide has no consequences because we either choose suicide before hand or it just gets hard and we take the way out. Suicide has no punishment at all because death and life are such a natural cycle that suicide is only trivial when someone takes a certain perspective on it in judgement. This place was built to hold us consciously while we breathe, eat, mate, cry, learn, and so on. This place was built for us to be here and possibly it was built by all of us for the benefit of each other. Even when we fight or argue we still love each other. Consider a fight with your parent or teacher. You still love that person even in that state of disagreement and pain. That's why it hurts so bad. It seems like the worst thing about suicide is that we could have continued and learned more here but we missed those lessons and chances and that is still a choice that is allowed to be made. Sometimes animals commit suicide like beached whales or maybe it only seems that way to us but possibly they were sick or forced to beach and we have no idea. Also insects and mammals and reptiles can and do fight to the death. Is this not a strange form of suicide as well? Bees killing invaders or men killing men? I think the life cycle is so strong that the matter of death is not really counted as much as we would believe here. I also think we continue to learn when we get "home" and then we rest, recouperate, enjoy some off time, and eventually return to try and help ourselves and other along this journey. I think when we fail at helping another fellow that is why we feel sad and like we have failed. Consider that you have been abused (LOL I think that's EVERYBODY here) and in your sadness you have also let someone down. Then Consider the times you were able to break that cycle and help when nobody else did. Like feeding the dog or giving birds some water or giving a stranger some change to help them at the store. I think we smile at ourselves when we do this like we smile at our souls for having a chance to do a small good thing. We wouldn't have those chances without this world where we can breathe and eat and sleep and feel. This place is built for us specifically and I would imagine that the afterlife feels just as safe and nurturing when we get there. ❤

I don't think souls are real, but it took me about 40 years of life to come to that conclusion. I just don't think there's anything after we die, we just go back to the earth, the air, nature etc. That idea used to scare me, but I'm ok with it now.

I would like to share my point of view with yours, what do you think happens after death by suicide ?

It is obvious that without even talking about religions, the act of killing oneself is not necessarily well seen karmically speaking, but I think that it can be part of the soul contract.

I think everything is written, our destiny is written, what I mean is that we have the power to rectify the path that we take in our life but that despite everything our destiny is predestined. what becomes of the soul of a suicide, who will have been good most of the time in his life, but just misunderstood, rejected, and who will have done everything in spite of everything to fight and find his place in this cruel world.

I don't believe in god, but I believe in something much stronger than us (spiritually speaking).

the three things that are holding me back from ending my life are my 3 year old son, my mom, and what will become of my soul.

I needed to talk about this with you and get your opinion, which will be important to me, please write what you think on this subject.
You may be interested in Shelly Kagans lectures on death (yale open University). I am watching them at the moment... trying to make up my mind on the dualist or physicalist point of view.... I highly recommend them

you are not crazy and that makes sense, your writings are very much in line with the many testimonies of people who have had near death experiences, some say that we are part of one and the same ball that we can call consciousness.

that everything is connected, plants, the universe, water, particles and us humans.
that makes sense. sometimes even in our present existence we can have tangible proof of this.

About myself sometimes I think of someone I haven't seen for a long time, and very often I see that same person again the same day after thinking about it.
I agree with this. I think that one day science will solve the mysteries of this world. Just as back in the day when there was a solar eclipse and people thought it was God getting angry, some had heart attacks, they were so scared - so it will be with us all living in this dire constrict.

IMO the "soul" is just the brain. When your brain is dead, you die. Your experience of life will be what it was like before you were born aka non-existence. Nothingness is not something we have any reference point for, since we're all alive now.

Channelled messages report distressed souls go to a sort of spiritual-world "hospital". Never punished, always helped.

Nobody knows it with certainty. It has been the discussion of philosophers since the beginning of humanity. Plato believed on the transmigration of souls and orientals too. The Bible also speaks from the beginning of the soul as a separate unit from the body and where the feelings reside, the emotions and independent of the physical body and that it consciously transcends it. And defines the composition of the human being as of three parts "Spirit, soul and body". I do not believe in any of that, I think that as someone said, "Whatever Consciousness I May Have Is The Result Of Cerebral Activity Which Ceases To Exist Once My Heart Stops Pumping Blood"(Callie Arcale) In other words: eternal nothingness, unconsciousness.

There is no evidence that a soul exists. I do believe that everything can be explained in physics, that we consist of particles from a supernova. Consciousness is an illusion.

I do not believe that there is any proof of the existence of a soul in the supernatural sense. Consciousness is generated by the brain and when the brain dies, the person's conscious experience ends definitively. Anything else I would personally consider very illogical.

I think nothing happens when we die. Before we were born time passed yet we were not aware of it and I think the same thing happens once we leave this world, we return to that state of non existence. The soul dies as soon as we lose consciousness.

I'm not really sure but I always liked the idea of getting a choice.
If you want to be reincarnated go for it, if you wanna be a ghost and watch over the world sure, do you want peace 100%.

I'm not really fussed but I dont want to be either tortured (hell) or reincarnated because screw doing this all over again.

According to Dante, suicides dwell in the second ring of the seventh circle of hell. Apparently, violence against the self is worse than violence against others, since the latter group is in the first ring. Since suicides willingly throw their bodies away, their souls are deprived of even the semblance of it and are damned to spend eternity as withered, thorny scrubs, continually broken by harpies. When the day of judgement arrives, they will not be resurrected, since they threw their bodies away, but rather return as trees with their corpses hanging from their branches.

What!? Is "scrub" a satanic term? Brings a whole new meaning to that song "I don't want no scrub". 5840caa4b76313e49c972b36e2b789fb
