I think it's a redundant plug-in, or else built into the base software but otherwise unimplemented. I think it was originally intended to let people know what music you're listening to when they go to your profile. I believe it integrates with Spotify, but I could be wrong.

I recently saw a spotofy logo when logging in , thought it weird but didn't think much more of it. So Angst is onto it I think.
