I think antinatalism is sad, and maybe it has to do with more kids who are now adults coming from broken homes. I understand completely why more people are afraid to bring kids into the world because we are brainwashed a lot out of having kids. The pushing of overpopulation and climate change are some ways we are propagandized in order to get us not to breed. I do think this is aimed more at smarter people, to discourage us from breeding as we would be more likely to overthrow the existing establishment of the ruling class globalists. The sexes are weaponized against each other because of state intervention into marriage which makes it more risky for men to marry. They push birth control at women in order to increase the tax base and keep us from having as many kids as possible. It doesn't help government power if young women married prior to sex and started having kids right away. So that's why they encourage us to get careers which only 2% of us will have a career and the rest of us will just have jobs. Men still take on jobs that pay better, they aren't the ones disabled by pregnancy or take economic hit for it. I went off topic a bit. I think whites are the most effected by antinatalism and it hurts us because it's causing demographic changes that will change America but I don't think it will be better when whites are no longer around. It will be the third world conditions all over after u kill off people who are smart enough to maintain the infrastructure and etc.

In the past,I was a fervent believer of Absolute Antinatalism. To the point where I would willingly press the hypothetical Big Red Button if it appeared right in front of me. (For those who don't know, the Big Red Button is a thought experiment of a button that would instantly eradicate all life and cause complete extinction, and the question would be whether or not you'd press it. Now,I'm not so sure about pressing it anymore.)

I'm no longer as dogmatic about the belief as I once was, after I argued with someone opposed to it and made several interesting(maybe even insightful)arguments against it. I still strongly believe however that far too many people take procreation for granted and never think about the issue on a deeper level, which results in people who have absolutely no business being parents, becoming parents. (I'm sure this point will resonate with a lot of you.)

Procreation is still essentially gambling with another person's life, and if that person was dealt horrible cards, society would force them to live with it. (If the right to die was taken seriously, this website wouldn't need to exist and I would actually reconsider my position on Antinatalism)

I'm Childfree(No desire to ever become a parent),but in the unlikely event that I change my mind,I would seriously choose to become a foster parent(and maybe adopt)over procreating. In the current state of the world we live in,I feel that is the far more ethical choice,as you're instead helping someone who already exists instead of taking a risk with procreating someone who may end up becoming a failure in life.

If people all started deeply introspecting on this issue, there'd be far less suffering in this world.

I am also against antinatalism, but not pro life either. If people want kids and are reasonable, they should have them.
Not everyone's lives are full of shit and misery. And kids can bring their parents a lot of happiness. I think people on this forum are overgeneralizing because their lives suck. But most people's lives are not too terrible and not too good-otherwise they wouldn't kill themselves.

You should stop using the words most and accuse others with bs like being closed minded.

First one can choose this rationally and logically regardless of their life and actually their life can be very good.

Second, people on this planet ARE suffering. If you live in a good area or country and don't see the whole world then its your problem. Your platitudes that antinatalism is a result of one's life misfortune is no different than people who dismiss rational and logical ideas because they say its a result of depression and suicidality.

Stop the Ad hominem

I agree with it 110%. I used to (and still do) think it's better to just not be born, didn't know there was a name for it.
