  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Can be a number of different factors :

• trauma
• Abuse of any kind
• Genetics
• bullying
• home life and work life
• academic pressure
• finances
• illness

Can be a number of different things to be honest I don't think one size fits all kind of deal. Also can depend how severe and how doctors decide to treat it.

I've heard that depression goes on par with anxiety (what's most commonly known)

I was a psych nurse for over 20 years & there are two types of depression ( both types feel the same but have different causes):

1) exogenous depression or more commonly called "situational depression" which is a reaction to an external event such as finding out your partner has been cheating, job loss etc.

2) Endogenous depression, which is thought to be a "chemical imbalance" such as too little serotonin or dopamine etc.
Medications are indicated in this case, to normalize/elevate the neurotransmitters .

While we may feel like we want to die when we feel depressed, most suicides actually occur as the depression begins to resolve, as we have more energy to carry out the act compared to when we're deep in depression & have little energy to carry out the act.
I hope this info is what you're looking for. 🤗🌹💔

For me, it's simple. Logically, rationally, honestly, accepting reality for what it is. That state of mind is labeled "depression". Separate from that, are a variety of vaguely misunderstood medical conditions. But a perfectly healthy mind will be seen as "depressed" by normies. Their heads are in the clouds or they're selling something.
