• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

    👉 View the ledger here

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

    Donate via cryptocurrency:

carpe diem quam minimum credula postero or seize the present; trust tomorrow e'en as little as you may is something I particularly hope to maintain whilst I live (ctb not by now, but I am strong about it). Like, if you literally plan to die in a day, how could you give a shit about anything that you will not see (as it do not harm other people, of course)?

It's a sentiment that has echoed several times throughout history.

There is a reason it has existed for thousands of years and perpetuates even in modernity. Today is the first step to tomorrow.

It's true and false really. As in- we need to be the ones to be actively trying to solve our problems. However, it reminds me of another saying: 'Live every day like it's your last'. Who would bother going to work, doing laundry, eating healthily if they truly believed this was their last few moments alive? We simply can't live day to day simply pleasing ourselves. There's so much unavoidable shit in life.

It relates to CTB also. We could live hedonistically for the last days, weeks, months we have here. Yet, many of us will also want to get our affairs in order to reduce the burden left to others. I think death will likely be just as tedious and full of paperwork as life.

This society throttles spontaneity. Everything revolves around planning and organization. "Seizing the day" i.e. having fun, doing what your heart tells you to may even lead you into trouble with authorities who believe in order and predictability.
