I've been in situations where, even knowing I wasn't being treated well, I preferred to say nothing. Because the fear of displeasing someone, of creating conflict, or of generating a confrontation was so great that I ended up accepting everything.

Many times, yeah. Most of my life. But I'm tired. My life should be easy to manage in theory. Yet it is at all. I feel like the "just accepting everything" part is just staying alive. By not doing that anymore, I would cut off all of these situations you mentioned, alongside many other problems, no?
When my suicidal thoughts are too loud, I take my sleeping pills early to shut them up! I've been doing it so long that I fear if my sleeping pills ever stop working, what will I do??
