What do you do as a job and do you like it?

For me, I work menial seasonal jobs that have nothing to do with the career I'm majoring in. I take them because they're my way of moving out of my parents house. I'm too broke to actually move out, so I just leave for about 4-5 months and then stay at home in the off season. It's okay, not great for long term.

I work in a warehouse, it's pretty unremarkable. I've no feelings towards it, it's better than no job.

Lmao, how is it every story I've heard from constructing, both from the administrative side and the laborer side, is insanely unprofessional. Also everyone is an alcoholic or seemingly training to be one.

I work in sales in a small dried goods store. My dad manages the place but my uncle owns it.

I got into it after being unemployed for long.

I wish I could do something else. I've worked in an office before. I would call myself a 'spreadsheet engineer' and I feel like I'm wasting my brain.

I do deliveries. It's nice because I'm mostly getting paid to stare out the windshield and listen to the radio or videos on my phone. I do warehouse stuff on top of my driving duties and that made me grateful to be a driver cause I couldn't do that all day. It does get super boring though.

Gig work. Main thing is street performing, which is pretty cool, but I hate my style. Working on other skills to move towards.

Otherwise, I do home services like clean, organize, and cook. Those are okay.

yeah this is interesting and kind of scary. the odd construction types i've run into confirmed the stereotype.

i've also heard and had confirmed through some that I knew that almost everyone who works in a restaurant is high on something.

Food service job, do I like it? No just low pay and one of my coworkers is a nighmare other than that Im looking for another job that pays more.

I realized too late because of extreme stupidity.

I do janitorial work at a grocery store and some days I like it, other days I don't, it really depends on how well rested I am on each day I'm there. As long as I can keep the equipment working good, that helps too.

I work shifts at a bookstore and do historical research for grad school. I wouldn't say I like it, but it's fine. Keeps my mind occupied, pays the bills, but I don't get much fulfillment or joy in labor itself.

Ironically enough, I am a therapist.
I work full time with kiddos that are homeless, and then casually at a domestic violence shelter. I am super passionate about helping my clients and I would never let 'this side' of myself impact the care they receive from me. I love my job, it makes me feel like I'm not a complete failure haha.

i just finished my 3rd year of a bachelors in math, and im currently doing a summer job as a research assistant for a prof of mine. on one hand, it's great bc i love math and i don't have set hours or coworkers and i can work from anywhere, but otoh this means i've spent so many weeks doing genuinely nothing and just getting high, so i need to get my shit together

I work at a thrift shop. At times it's kind of cool getting to see all the donated stuff that comes through and having an employee discount to buy things from there, gotten video games, clothes, tools etc. But it's a very physically taxing job moving heavy boxes or large furniture, people trying to get rid of their trashy old furniture, working out in the heat or the cold. It's not the worst job but I wouldn't call it the best either. Still rather work at a thrift shop than work in fast food.
