what do i do if i'm too scared to cut myself to test my sn's quality?

i've had my sn for a few months now. pretty sure air went in and it converted into nitrate after i tested it with aquarium strips. i could use my blood to test it but i've never cut myself before. i'm squeamish. i think humidity must've messed with it. i don't know if it's safe to drink now anymore. the highest concentration on the test strip was nitrate. i figure i'm out of luck unless i buy more sn online.

what did your strip look like? do you have any photos?
i think strip testing is more effective/accurate than blood anyway..

If you're really scarred to cut yourself ( even tho it doesn't sting that much if I doo it to a zone with fat like arm ), take a needle and poke your third or forth finger tip ( just like diabetic ). Like this it don't hurt at all

It doesn't need to be a large amount of blood. No cutting self. Like pricking your finger type if you end up doing that.

threw them away because i got upset. the nitrite strip was a light pink and the nitrate was a darker pink :((( i may test some more sn later once i do a blood test

I just cut my self accidentally and used that chance to test it.
