I was in London in 2006 and I really liked it. These days I am looking for information to try to go and live in the Scottish Highlands. On the Internet it is said that the Scottish government helps those who want to go to the Highlands to start from scratch because they fear the depopulation of the area, but I have not yet been able to confirm whether this is true or not.

I find much of the United States to be beautiful, particularly the northern coastal regions such as Maine. I was lucky enough to spend a week trekking along the middle section of the US/Canadian border. Breathtaking landscapes.

I'm in Washington state in the Northwestern corner of the United States.

I like the US, although it has deep flaws. I'm in a prosperous city in one of the most liberal states, so it has been a decent place to live in many ways. It's not as good of a place to be if you're not well off financially or have mental health issues, and I would rather live in a European country that's more of a welfare state, and ideally has liberal euthanasia laws.

US. Never really liked it here and the political climate makes it worse. Car dependency is something I hate more than almost anything. I've wanted to live somewhere else for a long time; Maybe Switzerland or Netherlands. I highly doubt that will ever happen though with my inability to work full time and not possessing any degrees or anything that would be valuable to another nation.

UK. I love elements and hate elements. I love the countryside, I love some of our quirks. I suppose I'm fairly patriotic. I suspect I would actually miss it if I lived elsewhere.

I hate it that it's probably knee deep in corruption and money laundering. I hate the mess the NHS is in- although I love the concept of free healthcare. I don't trust our politicians or, any country's politicians come to that. I just think a lot of things are a mess really but, I wouldn't know how they could be fixed. I'm not madly keen on the cold or wet but then, I also appreciate the seasons.

I probably like the idea of Britain more than the actual thing. It's probably like my idea of love. It's fairy tale romanticised. I think the real thing is full of problems.

Love and hate relationship as someone already said for their country.
I'm rather free, I'm queer, concerning both my gender and my sexuality, and I've never had any problems so far, so I'm glad for this, because it wouldn't be the case in most countries. Also, living in a small city, with very pretty architecture, so it's rather pleasant to have a walk around.
Yet I hate this fucking country. The government sucks, like sucks for fucking real. People here are demonstrating against my rights, my mother's rights as well, because she doesn't have the French citizenship yet she has been living and working here for over 30 years. The educational system sucks, I've known so damn many students including myself who tried to CTB because nothing makes sense.
Also people here are taking the freedom of speech as an excuse for racism, xenophobia , queerphobia and I could go on for hours, but I mean, that's the same everywhere, I guess.
This country sucks for plenty of other reasons, though it's not a lie it's a pretty place for tourism, yet get away from Paris, this place if hell too.

the southern part of the united states. i dont like it, and i dont hate it. i live in a poor suburban area, so i cant completely appreciate the nature around (at least, the bit of nature we have that hasn't been obliterated by kudzu. we're consumed by that plant.)

summer is one of the worst parts about living here, especially if you dont have proper cooling in your home. constantly humid, 90-100 degree fahrenheit weather. i already dont like going outside, but the weather leaves me confined to my bed even more than i already am.

besides all that, it's okay. i'd probably appreciate the place more if i was born into a more fortunate standing, but everyone can say that.
