Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I know for gunshot suicide, the reasons why someone might survive is because angle, position on body, type of guns and shells

But why might someone fail on hanging?
Some of the reasons I think is the bar that the rope holds onto falls, the wrong kind of knots are used on both sides. I think naturally anyone would struggle when the rope gets tighter. But how do you make sure it gets very very tight that it makes you lose consciousness?

What's worrying too if I want to try this one first bc it's less painful and I fail, then I could never buy a gun. So I only got one chance

Partial hanging a whole list of things can go wrong, main thing being your survival instinct kicks in and you free yourself.

Full suspension is more likely to succeed, if your ligature holds and you are unable to free yourself it's pretty much guaranteed lights out.

The above poster speaks truth. More people seem to be accepting the reality. No pain, no gain.

What I would add is partial is more about precision and perfection, a little luck also. Full is more intimidating, but is final. SI won't matter and there's no going back because you can't save yourself.

If CTB is the biggest decision of your life, would you take that risk? I'll definitely be buying a one way ticket thanks.

Only thing I'll say is that when it comes to hanging make sure you're going to have zero interference from other people. Someone shows up a few minutes into your partial they can still save you. From there, depending on how much of your brain died, and depending on how much they lock u up, it's gonna be a lot harder to attempt again.
