So I have The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow and Stories of Jewish Wisdom next to me that I'm working on. Maybe not ground breaking but try to always keep something on the end table

I hardly read anymore because my eyesight has gotten too bad. I used to read all the time. The past 20 years or so I've been reading mostly non fiction about WWII. I like reading first hand accounts of soldiers and airmen. Before my history kick I read mostly science fiction. Lots and lots of science fiction.

Have you tried Audiobooks? I know that some people don't get the same feeling from them, but I'm a fan. Also, ever read Old Man's War by Scalzi, or any Cordwainer Smith?
I used to read Discworld books and David Eddings fantasy books plus other fantasy and sci-fi books.
I keep meaning to check out the Discworld series. I've read some wiki stuff about it and I hear nothing but good things.

If you can adjust to Terry Pratchett's humour they are amazing.

my favourite book of all time is Little Women. always touches me so much.

I haven't read anything at all lately. I rarely have any motivation for anything other than sitting in my bed or on my sofa, doing nothing. it's sad.

He wrote Good Omens with Neil Gaiman IIRC, I loved that book particularly because of the humor! There's a greater than 50% chance I'll start a Discworld novel tonight. :ohhhh:

I hope things get better for you, fellow traveler.

The most recent book I read was complicity by Iain banks

OH man, have you read Palahniuk's Invisible Monsters? It's an amazing book.
I've read all of his earlier books, I've thoroughly enjoyed every single one Ive read.Invisible monsters is one of his best.I really enjoyed lullaby and choke as well.I haven't enjoyed many of his latest books. I think the last one I read was beautiful you and it was ok but nothing like his earlier books. His short story's are worth a read if you like him. There's a few story's in haunted that make you wince and squirm especially if your male!

That's the one that went through me the wax rolled up then melting with the heat... Bought a tear to my eye thinking about it!

My favorite is probably the Warriors series by Erin Hunter, though I also like Wings of Fire by Tui T. Sutherland. I've loved them for years and need to re-read them.

If you like horror lit, read anything by Shirley Jackson. Kill Creek by Scott Thomas.

Also, A Moveable Feast by Hemingway; A Room of One's Own by Virginia Woolf. Any David Sedaris.

Favorite book(s): Asimov - The Foundation Trilogy
Favorite writer: Jack Vance - loved all his books except the Lyoness novels.

Sadly I don't read books anymore, I'm not able to concentrate for long.
My last book I read was in English: The Da Vinci Code, some 20 years ago.
