  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

They were either banned by mods, or decided to ban their accounts themselves; either due to CTB, recovering, etc.

I assumed they were either banned or due to inactivity. This is a site built on ctb, they have to have some way of closing the accounts that have succeeded. I have wondered the same thing when I see a post from a user that's crossed out

Some accounts are both crossed out and greyed out, while others are crossed out but still have colour. What does this signify?

How can you tell the difference btwn who has caught the bus vs has been banned??

IIRC your username would change color when you would reach a certain amount of posts, now you can change it anytime. Some users never changed theirs, so they have the default color which changes to grey when banned. If you decide to change the color, it'll say that way regardless.

And I don't think there's anyway to tell who's self banned or were by the mods. There's a user discussion thread in off topic and that's where you can ask questions about a user who isn't here anymore and what may have happened to them.
