So far from the truth for me, I've always loved others before myself. I don't have to feel it for myself in order to give love to others.

The most bullshit thing I've ever heard, suffering isn't optional. Shit happens, we get hurt, we suffer. Simple. It's like I choose to feel/be this way.
"There's always a light at the end of the tunnel"
I don't hate this one, but it's frustrating to hear over and over. There's no light in a black hole (FYI, I'm a space nerd lol) everytime I express it isn't getting better and this isn't working and people trying to give me hope is more damaging.

The first quote might be rephrased in a way that could make more sense- if you don't take care of yourself first, you might never be happy. I have made the mistake of helping others too much when I needed so much help myself, I should have put myself first a lot more- then I would have been better for a lot longer, and in the end I would have been able to help others more overall. Taking care of at least your basic needs first, and making sure this is solid, is an excellent foundation for being able to help others.

I have been told this phrase more times than i can count. From family to mental health workers to friends. In their head i could just wave a wand and because im soo good at faking it till i make it, i could just wave away my depression with a "choice". Its so invalidating I have worked my ass off trying not to be depressed for over a decade, and all they think of me is someone who "switches" occasionally to depressed, no bish it my mask coming off so i wont get looks or rude comments. Some times im tired of faking it or i let my guard down or i trust the wrong person, then they say my second quote

Like uhhg im not always happy I'm just faking it so i won't get questions or probing, I do act myself around a few people close to me but very few. I probably rambled to much so im a end it here.

"You reap what you sow" is genuinely the most mind-numbingly bland quote I can think of. In its original biblical context, I'm okay with it because it's establishing that there's a causal relationship between status in the afterlife and behavior in this life. In modern usage, it means nothing more than "Actions have consequences." No shit Sherlock. I tend to see it used to justify completely arbitrary levels of punishment, so I would imagine it does a lot of harm.

I know right it's like saying someone in a wheelchair to just get up and walk. People clearly don't think about what they say when giving out some quotes. Nor do they try and be in our shoes before they say that.

I agree with u, people I think say that to give us hope when we've had it so much and then to be let down (too many times) so whenever someone is trying to give me up it's literally just bullshit. It's peoples way of saying it'll pass, but clearly they don't know how mental illness works

Yes I hate HATE the permanent solution to a temporary problem quote completely forgot about it, it literally pisses me off. Like I haven't given it any thought about it, I've considered all my options and done what I can. And besides it puts my pain to an end, which is something that is permanent and I won't have to deal and live with it anymore

I hate the saying "everything happens for a reason".
No, shit happens due to a series of consequences to our actions and sometimes people just get the short end of the stick.
There's no possible good or logical reason why children suffer with cancer, it's genetic anomalies and environmental factors. On a personal level, there's no good or logical reason that I have social anxiety, major depressive disorder, obsessive thoughts that spiral into never-ending negatively that leads to me believing I am a failure and loser/wimp.

This is true.
For me, I don't use money to try and buy happiness/someone/others happiness or even self-happiness. I use it to create new things to make others happy.
