I'd sort of consider this an attempt. In the middle of the night, I snuck under a fence to a radio tower and climbed about 20 feet before turning around. I thought just climbing under the fence would be enough to get me to go through with it because at that point I would be completely visible to any cars passing by and I could get trespassing charges or be sent to a mental hospital. I climbed 20 feet and genuinely thought I was about to die, but then I made the mistake of looking up. Seeing how much farther I had to climb suddenly terrified me. I wasn't on a ladder either so the climb was even more intimidating. I turned around and a car came by, instead of continuing thinking that I couldn't turn back now, I dove into a ditch and turned my head away trying to minimize the chance of being spotted. I hadn't thought to wear black clothes because I wasn't expecting I'd turn around, to make matters worse I'm white and was wearing short sleeves and shorts laying down on grass. Somehow they didn't see me, that or they just ignored me. I think if I had access to a ledge from high enough and a clear enough view where I'd know I wouldn't hit anybody, I'd have been dead that night. I was 17 at the time and even though I have sn now it was much easier to get myself to attempt things back then, now death is way more intimidating. Most of us tried to die a few times. I'm so sorry to hear this.Last year, I took 100 sleeping pills and antidepressants with alcohol and was planning to hang myself (partial) after that.
However, the effect of the pills came so fast that I ended up passing out instantly.
Thus, I ended up in a coma for 2 days, 1 month in hospital and 5 months as a prisoner in my parents' house.

I'm sorry you've gone through that. I can relate! I tried the exit bag method but not fully and ended up on a 3 day hold they billed me $6000 lol I saw that as a joke. N most recently I've tried with a charcoal grill and sealing myself up in the bathroom don't really understand why that attempt failed but it did just glad no one ever found out about it.Tried to do CO2 poisoning with a gas generator in a car but it was too painful and burned my throat too much. Then wound up having to deal with all the 3 day forced hold. It sucked, my job fired me because of it even though I was at home and I was left with a $2000 bill for the stupid psych place. Just made my life worse and myself poorer.
