So i went about 3km from my home to a patch that has open way to railway tracks, sadly yesterday I got a cargo train that was like going 30km/h, i wish that there would be passenger train going at least 100 km/h. Im not suicidal, just I want to see if ill have the balls to do it, maybe im afraid to get depressed again?
Im also going today, my mom went to the beach so i got loads of time to sit there and wait

I thought about jumping in front of a train before... Used to live in an ideal location for it.

there are a few practical issues that kept me from doing it: what if I survive with major injuries? What if I'm found and arrested/hospitalized before I do it? They had surveillance at the crossings so getting caught was a distinct possibility.

what discouraged me the most was reading about the effects of suicides on the engineers who drive trains. I don't want to traumatize anyone like that.

I'm also concerned about traumatizing the train operators. There used to be a high-speed Amtrak train that would pass through the town I used to live in at night time. I used to regularly walk by the crossing. A woman of 22 who was familiar with the town timed her move perfectly jumpimg out in front of the train at the last moment. That was some years ago. I've always envied her, even during times when I wasn't depressed.
I did feel bad for the engineer who had no time to react. Apparently few escape experiencing trauma even though they have no ability to stop
the train in time.

If you decide to go for it, I wish you the best of luck. I think if the train is going fast enough, it should be instant if you can get centered in the track. I think most major injuries come from either the train not going fast enough or placement on the tracks. A lot of people stand on the rail and I think that can just toss you off with major injuries. I feel differently about the train operators, they know that could happen as train suicides have happened since the beginning of the time trains first started, so I wouldn't feel guilty about it.

Jumping can also disrupt things for passengers who definitely didn't sign up for this. If it's a commuter train I wouldn't want to inconvenience hundreds of people

In every thread I read about the train method people keep bringing up the ethical implications of it.

As long as assisted suicide is not available people are going to kill themselves with less than ideal methods, like train. If the operator is traumatized and the passengers inconvenienced then it's not the suicidal person who is to blame, but pro-lifers and their destructive policies. Don't blame the suicidal who is forced into such methods by delusional governments.

There is a responsibility on the person if you want to die that is fine just don't make life harder on other people and there is multiple methods that are a lot less problematic.

If this is the option you want then I wish you peace. Nobody should have to live a life filled with suffering. It certainly does require courage doing the train method but I guess we get desperate.

Amazon has hub lockers you can ship to if you're worried about your family catching your sn. Under shipping address after you proceed to check out it says "Or try Amazon locker." They hold it for 3 days and if you don't pick it up by the end of the 3rd day you get a refund. Some lockers are open 24/7 so you can sneak out of your house, take an uber there if you can't drive, then you're good.

I'm really sorry to hear you're out of options.

I just couldn't do that and wait for another method to come up sooner or later. (that's why I'm still in this world)

Hugs,

Matt

Find another method. Don't be an ahole and traumatize other people because you have problems. That's completely unacceptable.

Cool story, kid. Anyways, there's other methods available at your disposal so there's no one to blame except you. And no, I won't ignore the ethical implications. Anyone who is cool with harming others can go fuck themselves. Find a method that doesn't involve hurting people.
