Well i bought 5g of amitriptyline enough to OD and hopefully die

Ive given up on ever finding a SN source. I've OD before on amitriptyline and ended up in ICU but this time I'm taking a lot more and will be left alone to die. My only fear is regaining conciousness even if for a moment and the psychosis or hallucinations that happen if I survive. I really don't want to fail but for some reason I feel I'm actually gonna die. It'll be hard swallowing 100 pills too but I know I can do it I'm so tired of life and have no hope in my future or abilities.

Curious as to why this isn't a more talked about method considering its easy to obtain and will 100% put you into a coma and likely give you a heart attack while you're out of it.

Hi, May I know what drives to wanna CTB? and I've been trying to find amitriptyline, i find it impossible to source without prescription, Where did you get it? and also since you need heaps of tablets for it to be lethal, even if i fool the doctor that I need it, there's no way they are gonna give me 10g in one go.

Did you take any antiemetic beforehand? how soon are you being discovered and sent to hospital ?

What makes Amitriptyline different from other similar medications? From what I have read on this sub, it's hard to OD on most modern medications in way that would be lethal yet you seem sure that it would work

Edit: so I saw it's mentioned in the PPH and I had a look, and it looks like it only has a reliability of about 6 compared to SN at 8 and is not the most peaceful. So while it might work it's not as guaranteed as say other methods like SN while having a similar peacefulness rating which may be why it's not talked about much.

I don't see how it's not peaceful you're fully comatose the whole time. You will be in ICU with a breathing tube if you're found. If you survive you will be hallucinating which can be unpleasant something to keep in mind.

Maybe it can take some time to become comatose IDK. I'm not an expert but there must be a reason the PPH only gave it a 6 for peacefulness. Also it looks like it still recommended to take benzos with it to help with sedation so yeah.

I also plan to use Amitriptyline.

I'm slowly stockpiling as my GP only prescribes a month at a time. I also get propranolol so intend to OD on both.

I have amitriptyline here with me described by a psychiatrist.

As a matter of fact I started taking it last week.

I took a single pill of 25mg and it made me extremely numb, next day I was barely able to leave the bed, despite sleeping for more than 10h. Blood pressure was extremely low, I barely could hear my own breathing.

It's not easy to get this prescribed in the UK, so I need to make sure I get this right the first time.

All you have to do is convince doctors that none of a dozen SSRI or SNRI medications work for your depression and they will probably try you on Amitryptaline

Fwiw, amitryptaline can be prescribed as a migraine preventative (at least in my country) and the doctors love to prescribe it here (as well as for antidepressant and pain medicine). Just wanted to mention in case anyone wanted to stockpile over months.

I don't even remember being in ICU or them taking the breathing tube out. The pills work fast putting you into a coma. No pain apparently I had a seizure but I wasn't concious. I was very out of it even days later. And I was hallucinating when I got moved out of ICU.
