If there was a button one could press and they would die painlessly in their sleep. I'm thinking most here would press it.




That means they want to be gone. They don't want to live.

But they are alive because they fear the pain of the method...etc

So they don't want to die either.

We want to be dead, but not die. We don't want to live, but don't want to die. We want a way out.

Is suicide a way out? Is death a way out of this bs? I don't know.

But I'm sure that living is only suffering and bound to get worse.

Anyone else feels this way?

Yes. It's a huge injustice to subject me to this awful life where nothing works out and every little thing is painful and difficult. It's just insult to injury that in order to be released from it I have to put my body through a traumatic event and scar my family for life.

I feel that if there was a instant death button at my disposal, I'd actually try to "live" and take another chance to at least make this situation I'm in a little better.

After all if all else fails on my "attempted recovery", I can always fall back to pressing a button and fuck off.

true, customs are the main reason i'm scared to try to obtain it because i don't have the money to waste. it just makes me wish assisted suicide was legal that much more and people didn't have to suffer to end their pain.

I would press it if I were in a state of grace -- having just gone to Confession, absolved of all my sins. Hopefully my soul would go straight to Heaven after I died, God willing. Which reminds me, I really ought to go to Confession this weekend: it has been two weeks since my last Confession and my conscience feels dingy.

Probably yes. Especially if the result is a death that appeared natural so it wouldnt look like Id killed myself. The method doesnt matter so much to me although if / when I do CTB Id rather the method wasnt gruesome - for the sake of my family.

What would be perfect though, is a button that would erase me ever having existed in the first place. Like a different egg got released that month and I was never conceived at all. I would push that immediately. Because the only thing really keeping me trying to push through is the few people that love me. Dont want to hurt them even though Im pretty confident that theyd in fact be better off if Id never been existed.

I mean obviously Im going to die one day anyway so killing myself is really just fast tracking isnt it. But for the people left behind suicide is more painful than if I just died from some physical illness / accident.

I'm with you on this. I'm going soon and I'm absolutely terrified. And it's got nothing to do with not wanting to die.
