drugs, rubber band on the wrist (mimics the pain/burning that comes w sh), hitting, slapping, burning is another one too, self harm is really anything that harms yourself and a lot can fall under that.

if the goal is just to feel the pain, without causing damage or scars - thumbtack or something similar, like a sewing needle or safety pin, but i prefer something thicker like a thumbtack. press it into your skin. dont break the skin. move it around to different points to feel it in different areas.
Break a plastic mechanical pencil in half and the edge tends to be sharp enough to leave shallow marks for a few weeks and discomfort for a couple hours

Something I really like to do is get a candle with a high burning point, and drip it onto your skin, like arms wrist legs or thighs. It hurts but doesn't scar
scratching off the first layer of your skin hurts like hell but doesnt really leave scars that look a lot like self harm if you do it right. ive figured out that people also don't question this, they just assume youre anxious.
