I'm not religious but I do have a belief in some sort of afterlife or other dimension and I feel like my heart is always saying "I want to go home" like I know Earth isn't my true home . Anyone else feel this way ?

I watched a suicide NDE and his experience was that we go home after this, so I hope that's true.

I don't believe in anything spiritual but I get this too, I think it's just a desire for a place where you feel belonging, safety, and comfort.

My friend had a NDE said it was so warm and peaceful and he thought he saw what were his ancestors who told him he had to go back to help people
I did a ketamine infusion last week. And I thought I was dead in another realm and had no ego . It helps a lot of people with their depression it made me just want death even more

That sounds exactly like this story; https://www.anitamoorjani.com/my-nde which also sounds a lot like what it is like to be high on drugs; Human Traffic (1999) - Ecstasy (youtube.com)

TBH my first ecstasy experience was EXACTLY like that described in that vid clip, and it did feel spritual, like I got in touch with a different dimension. So given this I now believe in this idea here Cosmos - Carl Sagan - 4th Dimension - YouTube which is that our body and minds exist in 1 dimension so we can only speculate what higher dimensions would look like. Carl Sagan has a very good explanation how we can observe the "shadow" of the third dimension to contemplate.

Also found this; Children Who Report Memories of Past Lives - Division of Perceptual Studies (virginia.edu)

And this 5 Children Who Remember Past Lives | Reincarnation Stories (youtube.com)

buddhist believe in Reincarnation as do I as I am starting to get into buddism. Not massively religously or anything, just they seem to have the most sensible view of ctb'ing.

I believe in reincarnation too. Yes, my ketamine doctor said if you want to experience "God" to do DMT which is thought to be a chemical released in the brain during NDEs from a scientific perspective. Kids aren't jaded and developed a big ego so makes sense they would remember it more than we do

I really feel you, always aligned with the belief that "there's something". The way I see it, even if there is no designated afterlife, who is to say that we can't suddenly come back into being as a new possibility in a new consciousness, and the span of nonexistence passes in an instance like sleep? Who even knows how that would work? I can't really relate to some of the posters on here who just wish for absolutely nothing...

I want to do Ecstasy

It is my favourite drug, admittedly I've only done a handful of drugs and last time I took ecstasy was in 2005. But that was my spiritual experience, which was as described in that previous video. The two comments within that video that stood out to me, were "we are taking the brakes off life" and "were not threaten by people anymore". Def felt that and feeling like I was 4 yrs old & even ppl I previously dislike were simply playmates. I remember saying something like "strangers are friends we haven't met yet." But the comedown does knock you out for 2 days (no eating or sleeping either).

Ayahuasca I've also heard referred to as the "God drug". I think as Gabor Mate describes either in this video; or somewhere else that when he took it all he felt was pure love. I would really want to try Ayahuasca.

Back on to the OP subject. I also feel like this culture isn't my home. Why?

Well I think that this capitialist culture is too toxic for me. I should have been born into a simple culture (one which hasn't been affected by westerners) and become a Shaman or something which involved caring for others. I don't want to screw ppl over just to earn more $$$ & be a prisoner to money in the process!

I feel the same way I don't care about materalistic things and the Western world is obsessed with it. We were made to be in nature

I'm listening to this podcast at the mom;

which you mind find helpful knowing there are others who are like us. So we can learn how to live our remaining time on this planet with the values of a simplier life even in the west. As you can prob tell from my prev post, I am a huge fan of Dr Gabor Mate who also believes this;

Rich roll is also a like minded indivdual which you might enjoy his podcasts;

I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.
