Walmart shotgun situation

I plan to go to Walmart and use bolt cutters to smash the glass on a gun case then grab a shotgun (no money), cut the gun lock on a shotgun (which is just a little yellow string lock thing that I think goes into the chamber) and shoot myself right there but I'm worried about staff trying to stop me. I already have shells so I just need access to the gun. I also am concerned about traumatizing people but idk if I'd be able to get away from Walmart after that cuz I don't have a car so police would probably intercept me and I don't want to get shot by police, especially because I could potentially survive their shots.

The staff can knock you or your gun off though while you're struggling to get the gun (assuming you wear gloves and no glass shards injured your body) and reloading. This plan has a 35% success rate at best.

Please do not even consider this as a viable option. It seems like an act of desperation, not a carefully considered choice. And what's more, there may be children present

Believe it or not, years ago I read a news story about a guy who did what you are talking about. Not positive if he broke the glass case or had a clerk let him hold the gun. Pretty sure it was the former.
