I disagree. I think mosquitoes are the worst creatures in existence. They're the number one killers of humans and have been around since before the dinosaurs. I'm joking, but there's truth in it, hahaha.

People call them danger noodles, but only some of them are dangerous. Where I live, we have plenty of snakes, but very few varieties pose a threat to humans. I had a teacher with a black rat snake. That thing was super chill. My teacher could literally hang the snake around his neck while he was talking.

Easiest way to understand complications in Indian society is to understand the fact that snakes are the holiest animals in India - matter of fact they are so revered (this is a country that has been in endless interfighting since its current civilization - prior to that in further ancient times Indians were the finest manufacturers and traders of ultra luxury goods, trading networks spread into central Asia with strong marks in the "Mesopotamia" and Arab lands. In fact I've never seen copper articulable toys and figures from other ancient nations, only Indian)... Invasions by Iranic nations (political violence as early as Akkad, pushing Elamites & Babylonians east wards into India, something that is repeated throughout history) led to the current civilization of this country... To control endless rebellion and hardwired hate requires treachery.

I was looking at a decent temple from the late ancient times and of course it had a background involving a disgusting snake ritual. I immediately looked at Chinese snake processing/harvesting to soothe my rage... The Chinese don't like the snakes as much.

They're very odd. As far as I know, every other creature on this planet has some sort of clear, visible way that they move, with fish having tails, birds having wings, and us having feet, and yet these things just slide and wiggle around on their bellies as if that's also a completely normal form of locomotion. The crazy thing is that they're really good at it, too, with how fast they can be. Perhaps it's not an entirely fair comparison, but it takes a human baby a whole year to learn how to walk like their older kin, and yet, baby snakes just slither right on out of their eggs and keep doing it for the rest of their lives. That seems impressive.

I used to be terrified of them, but as I've grown I've come around to be fascinated and respectful of them. I still have a healthy fear of them though, as there's rattlesnakes where I live. But I don't hate them or think they're gross. Much of the commonly hated and feared animals are only that way because of social constructs. When you leave that bs behind, you'll find that these critters aren't that scary nor gross. The same goes for spiders, I love them now! I used to smash them, but now I live alongside them and have tons of free range 'pet' spiders in my house.

Long story short
I and frends used an hole winter reading about snakes in my area

When summer comes and the snakes come we started hunting snakes (only snake in are was venomous btw)


All we wanted to do was to sniff it we wanted to smell a snake so badly, its gone 10+ years now since the hunting for snakes began we eventually gave up since snakes awoke humans so we never got to sniff a snake

But honestly i don't want to touch them but i would gladly get a few bites for the relief of have sniffed a snake.

If anyone here thinks im joking search for snake sniffing on the forum.

They're so cute! They have such a unique texture to their scales, too. Very cooling, and softer than you would expect, like if a long sock were coated in a thin layer of ceramic. I have no idea why, but I've always seen snakes being somewhat resemblant to pottery. It just feels like ceramic is perfect for snake designs. Like somehow, the neck of a large vase or handle of a teacup feels like a perfect place for a snake to be wrapped around. Maybe it's their patterns or something. In any case, I love them.
