Venting, because I had to get my emotions out. I had to watch this video with a VPN since I was on a censored work network during break, and I will never those precious minutes of my life back. I am literally typing in proper punctuation for the first time since joining this forum because I want to vent as clearly as possible.
When RainAndSadness called Tantacruel's video slandering, she was not kidding. It is by far one of the worst attempts at "exposing" a website I have ever seen.
1. The whole entire video just comes off as such an emotional reaction rather than a constructive dialog about assisted sucide. It is so clear that he is grasping for straws as a way to appear holier than thou solely because one of his fans was "murdered" (LUL) to the site. His video is just him ranting on one persons death. It does not address the chronically ill that join the site, or those who have tried all the treatment from psychiatry and have failed without improvements, the recovery forum, the off topic forum.
The whole fucking video is just him whining about the fact that a fan of his died rather than seriously having a logical dialog. It reminds me so much about the Dr. Kevorkian trials, where the people that wanted him to be prosecuted did it solely because they wanted to appear morally superior to Mr Kevorkian. Much like those trials, Tantacruel does not care about logic, just ad hominem on ad hominem.
2. The cult claim is what made me almost choke on my Fanta. This one is just straight false. Nobody is being disconnected from support, and assisted suicide certainty isn't radical. End of discussion on that front. We are not Jonestown, we are a forum. There is no magical kool-aid.
3. The cherry-picking. He ignores everything such as the kindness on the forum, the whole existence of the recovery section, and the fact that people openly report that feel less inclined to commit suicide when joining the forum. I actually rarely see goodbye-threads these days.
4. The audience reaction isn't even evident. He DISABLED the dislikes, and ALL OF THE COMMENTS have to go through a moderator queue. Dumbass can't even handle criticism.
Crybaby. Stop whining over your fan's death and accept that people have personal autonomy over their bodies, no matter how much you want to say otherwise.
