I self banned myself from one forum but there your posts then changed their label to "anonymous"...here it is not the case....I wonder...

The point is to keep anyone else from using your account after you CTB, if they found the password or you were auto logged in etc. But I do agree and wish there was an option to self delete any or all posts and find it really frustrating that there is not. Personally it has a chilling effect as to what I will and won't say knowing I cannot remove it if I feel like it.

I agree but I understand our admins stance to some degree, and maybe if really needed they would be kind enough to delete...
There is the reply option as well so the complete deletion is complicated...

Sometimes I'm not on for days. Sometimes because of work, sometimes I have other things to do and can't always be on but that is just me.
