Urgent Questions About SN

My SN arrived, and I'm going to CTB tomorrow night. I'm extremely impressed with the quality of the SN, as it seems that I lucked out. Other people here who have bought from think source say that they got theirs clumpy, however, this is not the case for me. I have some questions.

1) If I plan to CTB tomorrow night at 10 PM, when should I start fasting?
2) Do I need to do a test? If so, would it be possible for me to do the test with Tabasco sauce rather than real blood? I take my blood if I have to, but it's not something I normally do.


Just another comment: this feels relieving. Scary? Yes. Why wouldn't it be? But, I don't think this is irrational SI. I wasn't expecting to even have the option this early, but it seems that everything has already fallen into place. I have the additional meds, as well.

8 hours of fasting is suggested, but if you know when your stomach feels empty, maybe 4 to 6 hours after eating, you can base it off of that I believe. So if you choose to fast for 8 hours, stop eating at or before 2pm if your plan is 10pm. You can fast the entire day if you can stand not eating for that long. A test is not necessarily needed if you bought the SN from a trusted company, but if you have any doubts at all about it you definitely should. And what's this about Tabasco? I didn't know a test could be done with it.

Thank you for your info. As far as the "trusted company" goes, everyone who bought this has given it a 5-star rating.

I'm pretty sure mixing SN with Tabasco wouldn't do anything. I can't find any posts on the site about using it in this way and I don't recall reading about it either. If you're not planning on doing much tomorrow, can't you get aquarium test strips?

I will probably just take blood. I don't have time to order test strips. I'm also fairly certain the SN is reliable. It just feels... right.

Tabasco doesn't do anything. SN reacts with the haemoglobin in the blood which transports the oxygen. The colour red doesn't have anything to do with it I'm afraid so the Tabasco won't react with your SN in any way.

It's not the colour that determines if the SN is real or not, rather the reaction that occurs with haemoglobulins in the blood. After all, SN works via inducing methaemoglobinaemia.

Personally I would fast for as long as possible before taking the SN.
