Help URGENT ADVICE

I'm ready to hit the road right now, letters are written, method acquired in my car, hotel room booked.

Only thing is my parents/friends are gonna worry if they dont hear from me in like an hour or so.

Do I say anything about me leaving to throw them off or just dissapear?
Like I could just say something about needing a break and tell them a fake location so that if they do send for someone to check it's not where I am. Thoughts?

its ultimately up to you, but id personally just tell them that youre going to blow some steam off somewhere safe - assuming you dont want to run the risk of getting emergency services called

I'd personally tell them I'm going somewhere, like you said taking a break or just going on a trip or something. Just less likely to cause issues in my eyes.

i really recommend saying an excuse to avoid them looking for you. also avoid getting seen by others, obviously if your method takes some time.

if u worry about what they might see, excuses are very recommended, by experience, people usually react very badly to suicide/death (mainly from loved ones). if u can, let emergency services find you, but try to avoid letting your loved ones find you first.
also, fake locations are nice to avoid being found

Maybe tell them you're going to Las Vegas to blow off some steam and have a good time for a three day weekend, then head in the opposite direction.

I agree it would be better for emergency services find you first not your loved ones. I hope you find some peace and no matter the outcome, we're still here if you don't feel ready or back out last minute

Im in similar situation, best thing to do is to send a message or reply any message so they wont be worried or searching for you while you are CTBing.

Hotel is a great place to CTB since emergency and police will find your body first and then comunicate to your family.

I don't think they'd be able to find you. I think if you're an adult that got to wait 24 hours or 48 hours if somebody goes missing? I'm not really sure but I'm just going to be easier to say nothing you might want to go with that, otherwise just make something up

Depends entirely on your relationship with the people you know. I left my family unexpectedly/out of the blue and they didn't call me for several hours. And when they did get through to me I just said I wasn't coming back for a week. They didn't call again.
