  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Was thinking today about something weird I do. I love giving myself nose-bleeds and then just letting it run for as long as possible. It's not painful so I don't know if you can class it as a self-harm but it is definitely unusual.

What are any of your guys unusual self-harms?

I'm not sure if this is unusual but it isn't often mentioned: head banging. I nowadays just hit my head with my hand because I'm afraid of brain damage but when I was younger I just hit it to a wall as hard as possible since I was (and am) afraid of sharp objects and especially blood.

I sometimes do that when I'm really angry. Just slam the back of my head repeatedly against the whilst sat up in bed

I find it oddly satisfying to light a match and let it touch my skin for a bit. Very therapeutic.

I hit my head with empty bottles of alcohol. Or just punch myself.

I slam my head into walls to try and knock myself unconscious.

I like to let my nosebleeds run too. The patterns it makes in the sink - so pretty. Same with blood from shots I registered but couldn't hit - I like to draw with them.

Pulling hair out - oddly calming. The laser focused pinprick of pain. And head banging or hitting myself. Rhythmic motion is soothing.

Eating unhealthy food. Though I doubt that's so unusual as modern society is unhealthy in every way imaginable. But not many mindfully and purposefully have this intention of self harm when they eat.

Not allowing myself to drink water or sleep.

Consenting to sex and sexual activities I knew I would not enjoy.

Maintaining relationships with people who drain my energy and mental wellbeing. Seeking out those relationships.

Meeting people from dating apps. The little thrill of adrenaline when getting into a car with a stranger. Or an uber they paid for to take you to their place.

Likely more but that's all I can think of for now.

You can also get nosebleeds from pushing hard inside your body (I don't know how to explain the sensation - like you are constipated, or blowing your nose when you have a cold). It also happens if you make yourself throw up - not using your hands. But you can also haemorrhage with this - I think, depends on the force you use.
