I've ordered SN and wondering what the consequences are if it gets intercepted by customs.

I'm guessing just a knock from police and a quick welfare check?

Link? I've not seen that post

EDIT: Found the post, some comments made overnight which reveal their location.

I hope its not true, first post about this happening and my order is just about to leave customs from the importing country. I'll make a post once it arrives

This hasn't happened to me. However I have had a lot of contact with the police and as a result I did extensive research before ordering. Firstly SN isn't illegal. Ordering it isn't a crime. So while the police may come to your house, they won't arrest you. If they do come to your house without arresting you you can refuse to speak with them and ask them to leave. They cannot force you to do anything, they cannot enter your home without permission, and they cannot arrest you just for not wanting to speak to them.

Secondly, it's important to know the circumstances where they can arrest you. They would have to have evidence that you were planning on using the SN to commit a crime. This would be things like evidence of you threatening to poison someone or something that links you to criminal activity. If they don't have that they cannot charge you with a crime.

Thirdly, in the unlikely event of an arrest, please please please do not say anything to them and request a lawyer immediately. This is very standard and does not make you look guilty. They cannot presume guilt just because you exercise your right to legal counsel. They will hold you for 24 hours regardless, so if they say anything like finding you a lawyer will delay things, they are lying in order to make things easier for themselves. It happened to me and it is unfortunately very common. Even if you think you don't need a lawyer because you already know to say "no comment" to everything, it's important because they will be able to explain to you exactly what is happening.

As for me personally I have ordered my SN under a pseudonym so I'm hoping if they do seize it they won't trace it back to me. Given my history they almost certainly would think I was planning a crime and I would have no defence.

Just followed the previous hints given from other users to find DMC, but instead of looking for DMC look for DSL instead.

Great advice re the police. I completely agree. Nothing they can do as obtaining it isn't a crime.

As to you personally, they would still need evidence as to what you intended to do with the SN. Your history, whatever it is, does not count as evidence!

Threats to kill and 2 breaches of restraining order. I'm currently serving a suspended sentence so they could activate it without arresting me or charging me with a new crime. Only thing I could think of was to use a fake name. I guess we'll see what happens. It's already ordered.

I ordered sn from dsl and it got seized by customs (I'm in the uk). I got a welfare check, and he told the crisis team about it. I then had to sign a form so customs could destroy it.

There would still have to be evidence that you intended to use the SN against this person. And it would be a pretty stupid idea to try and harm someone this way given your victim probably wouldn't even swallow any, even if you managed to slip it to them somehow, given the taste! If you gave a prepared statement saying you intended to use it on yourself I wouldn't even give a charge the time of day.

As an aside, they can't activate a SSO unless you breach the conditions or commit another offence. It's different to being on licence.

They could still return it to court if they believe I pose a significantly increased risk of harm. I get what you're saying but I really cannot afford to go to prison a third time. My parents wouldn't be able to take it and I'd be in a much worse position when I got out. 14 months is a long time and it would also push my CTB plans back years. The source I ordered from would likely be closed and I'd have to log on here again and spend god knows how long searching for a new source. I just need this to work.
