For what I understand vad isnt easy to get from switzerland. I suspect they had some health concerns.

They worked in paliative too so would know just how to play things.

It's all speculation. We can't possibly know what their reasons were. Maybe they were both abused for years by their father or share some other horror. Maybe they both had genetic predisposition to some debilitating disease like Huntington's and wanted to leave while they were still well. We will never know the answer. The more interesting thing is that they were approved for assistance.

Yes, there's a meticulous procedure. Regrettably, im.struggling with illness now and getting to an airport would need assistance. I wouldn't want to.raise.suspicion by saying.to my friend.and carer that i need a one way ticket to Switzerland. No t o mention 10k euro bill. Ive got plan B. !

i can emphasise with the physical pain. Relentless and overwhelming. Affects the psyche. And of course mental pain is devastating too. Its a relief to know i can follow my plan to end it. When life becomes tortuous.

it would have been meticulous in planning, stage by stage. I see a well thought out exit here after much reflection. Not just an emotional flash in the pan decision.

Don't worry, take it easy, they'll respond soon. Once you made the initial payment, it takes like 4/6 weeks to know whether or not your VAD has been approved , so probably next week or so you'll receive an email from them. In case you got the approval, they'll ask you your preferred VAD date...as simple as that...they don't beat around the bush but they want to make sure you are fully committed, that's why they sometimes do not reply straight away. They do that on purpose. Wishing you all the best.

Depending on your condition, it's not a meticulous procedure. Pretty straightforward and quick. In one month or just 5/6 weeks you may get your application approved...even less...

It depends on which clinic you apply your VAD. The condition, your age, your circumstances and other factors will determine how quick the process will be. Way more simple than people may think. The deposit is refundable but certain fees will be charged depending on how far the process went and other circumstances.
