Emulating their neurotic paranoid horrifying fear of money…
Growing up there was always a sense of scarcity, so when I finally had money I was not as careful as I should've been because I couldn't stand being cheap and worrying about it… Now I'm paying the price…

Money has only been used as a tool to cause harm and distress in my wicked, fucked up "family."
Waving around how "perfect" they are.
Telling me how I'm not "good enough."
Bribing rapists and criminals.
Shattering my progress.
They'd BUY shit after screaming sessions as if that "made up" for being a horrible mother.
They wouldn't hire a tutor.
Encouraging me to buy things, which didn't "make" me happy. What would've made me happy would've been to give those things to girls like me in need. They pretty much stole it.
They stole my possessions, they stole my "happiness", they refused to help, they used money to fuck with me repeatedly.
They used law enforcement to fuck with me repeatedly and cover their LIES.
They continued BURNING my bridges and my LIFE. My JOBS.
Society tells you to go back to your abusers and you're desperate to never be around the abusers ever again.
Which just attracts more abuse and more abusers and liars and fucking shit disturbers.

I hope they all die in rotten ways. I hope they fucking suffer.

I am nothing like my parents. They enjoy life and want to live until they are 100. They also saw it as a good thing to bring children into this world, which I see as being selfish. If I was never born that means I would never have to suffer. I was perfectly fine not existing until I was forced to live.

I accept that we need to earn our way, but my life doesnt revolve entirely around money. My parents placed alot of emphasis on wealth but i rejected this. I wanted to find something that didnt own me( money) and i did. My brother grabbed everything when they died, house, money, everything. I didnt care but he was deceitful in doing so.

The price of placing value on the individual and the possessions we own. Why is someone more attractive when they own a top range car or a mansion like house?.

Its about INSECURITY, the need to be loved by others, but unfortunately money doesn't buy love.
Also some of that stuff is really nice :-)

I have always been hard working and thrifty. I genuinely don't understand why a half million dollar car is better than a super efficient sub compact. Honda and Toyota stopped selling their most efficient cars in America because of lack of demand. Now, Americans whinge about gas price, which are still incredibly cheap. People are generally easily manipulated and superficial.

Being hard-working and thrifty is far superior than materialistic. But A BMW is a higher performing vehicle than a Toyota subcompact. And if that's an experience you value, Then you would want to have the BMW.

Absolutely true. If I had an entirely different mindset 10 years ago and have been brutally frugal, I would not be in this mess I'm in right now.

Not trying to argue but I genuinely don't understand how a bmw is superior to my Honda, that gets great mileage and fits my extension ladder. Is the bmw a more comfortable ride or is the sound system better?

It is fun to me to see young people not even want a car anymore. Get rid of garages too.

Well of course it depends on what standard you're using. For gas mileage the Honda is far superior. For performance and handling etc. the BMW.
Yes it is great to see young people abandoning vehicles… Passenger trains was a much better set up for a bunch of reasons especially the built environment which aesthetically was ruined by cars… Suburbs, highways etc.

I tried to mimic the why behind material possessions but never really did find the answer to it. It would've felt better to have given those things away as intended rather than someone basically stealing them and pretending like it was some great thing that I had an abundance of whatever.

The bitch bragged for me, and then douchebag dudes mimicked that, as if it made them "special" or "desirable" - it didn't.

(The intention was to be able to give it away. It was then stolen by a skank sibling when the moron that ran up a credit card had it all "shipped" to her house died, as if sending it there would somehow force me to be there or force me to desire to face her stupid ass or "forgive" her or "like" her for any reason.)

Seems like any time I acquire a place to live, something shitty happens that destroys it for me - be it a horrible housemate, shitty family members, shitty "spouses", crappy "friends", fucking loser cops that like throwing victims into the street and telling us to just "work harder" for the same cycle to repeat…

Sentimental objects meant the most, and losers like drug dealers and their girlfriend stole those things to be little fuck faces.

Eventually you learn to just give up in general, helpless.

This monetary and materialistic gimme gimme gimme "culture" is fucking bullshit.

do you like them?(your parents)
I have a good relationship with them overall, but it can be tiring spending time with them. I do not have the energy for being around people.

I am my mother's child alright and I fucking hate it. She was my role model as a child so I learnt her destructive behaviours which I'm only just facing in therapy but I really can't see me learning differently. 38 years of the same behaviour. I want to be free
