Trying to make peace with dying/Scared of an afterlife

I have ordered N and am tying up loose ends. I am trying to make peace with dying, I am just so scared to be punished in an after life, I just wish we knew what happens when we die. I so badly just want to fade out and not remember this life or anything about it, I don't care where I end up next, I just want to not remember anything about myself or this life. :/ I could just sleep forever. I hope, I sincerely hope it is just a deep dreamless sleep. I do not want to be here anymore, I just want to rest.

Can someone direct me to some comforting resources regarding this.

There is no need to fear the unknown. The reality is that this existence is nothing but pain and anguish. If, even in a worst case scenario there is something after this existence that sucks, chances are it's not as bad as this. And even if it was that just means I will be looking for the way out of another existence.

So even in the infinitesimal chance that things would suck in an afterlife, I feel the odds are heavily in my favor it has to be better than this. That's just my thinking anyway.

My odds are on nothingness. Peace. Even if there is a God, he knows I have suffered enough.

There are none , gather a group of clergy and ask them all the same question and each will give you a different answer , because they don't know . Spirituality has the same problem except they are more aligned with nature and are open to frequencies and signs which is good .

Yeah I'd rather go the slightly more spiritual route, if anything!

People summon demons and they do this for help ,well they used to, for financial gain or whatever . This is certainly not dabbling in ouija board territory and one sells their soul for whatever . This is fact not fantasy !
Astral Projection, try to master out of body experience though not everyone can achieve the full effect , there's also lucid dreaming . This is just a few examples to show that death isn't the end of our journey .

Im kinda hoping it will be the end of my journey ;) I'm not seeking entry into another realm in which ever form- reincarnation or a new spiritual plane... I just wanna not be scared when the time comes! Maybe I should try and trick myself into seeking I am going into another "universe" one better than this one anyway.

Just my two cents, not meant to stress you. I find solace in Zen teachings and perhaps they can give you peace too. In essence, they reason that birth and death merely are illusions.

it's all connected , think of it this way . Time on earth is certainly different to time in the universe , welcome to your new home or temporary home ! Is there a mirror image of planet earth which cannot be seen with the naked eye ? Could this be the destination after death ?

I recommend the Holy Bible. It can be comforting if you choose to believe it. If you choose not to believe it, there are many different ideas people have posted here. Ultimately, the choice is yours.

Why did God allow this crap to happen to us? I suffer so much everyday. Its ridiculous. I'm not sure what I believe anymore. I used to believe. But I'm being forced to put up with daily physical torture in my body with my horrible illness, or being there for my 11 year old and my soulmate husband who is the light of my life and most amazing person i've ever met. But I can't put up with the torture, this is the choice God has allowed for me. Its even more cruel. I could have an amazing life with my husband but never will because of my torturous illness. I've prayed and prayed and yet God allows this. ??????

I am so sorry for all the pain you are suffering and that it causes you to want to CTB. To be honest with you, I don't know why you are suffering. God is sovereign and who can know the mind of God? I have asked God about my own suffering and I really believe I deserve it. This doesn't mean that you deserve to suffer. Not everyone who suffers deserves it. God allows things for His own purposes, and sometimes there are no answers. I understand about praying a long time for God to take away suffering. I have been asking God to take away my suffering for almost 5 years. I still have hope that He might answer my prayers before I die. If He doesn't, I have hope in my death because, I know after I die I will go to Heaven where there is no suffering. I really wish your circumstances will change, and you can have that amazing life with your husband and child.

I don't believe in a universe or afterlife. I used to and so I remember feeling like you do, and also seeking out something comforting. I found Ester Abraham Hicks who has different views on suicide than others (more like ours) and found a lot of comfort in listening to those vids for a time. Best to you.
