I almost did it! Passed out, but was soon saved by the lifeguard. Maybe when my pool opens, I'll try it again when they're on a break! So excited!

It must be a relief to have the option of a method that you feel confident in, I admire those with the courage to attempt that method, I wish you the best.

Did you end up breathing in any water? Or were you rescued before you started to drown?

Do you really wanna traumatize some kids? Or is it a different type of swimming club?

I don't think so. It didn't cause much physical damage.

There's no kids in this swimming club. Only 18 and above are allowed to enter.

Interesting. I'm more interested in SWB as a method now. I hadn't really considered it before.

Could I ask why you have this as your chosen method? It seems like a pool would be pretty risky with so many people around, isn't there a high chance of resuscitation?

Couldn't you just do it in the tub?

What was your method? How much deep breathing did you do? 1 min?

if i were attempting this method i'd do it in my bathtub, personally. idk if you have one. maybe a lake.

i feel as though you're going to get rescued every time if you're in a pool. it's the lifeguards job to keep you alive haha.

That's why I'm doing it on my neighbourhood's pool, instead of swimming practice. There's barely any people there, as not many live near the area. Especially around 4 o'clock.

I don't have any bathtub sadly, so that's impossible.

Gladly in my neighbourhood's pool, the lifeguards take a break around 4-5 o'clock, and you can still use the pool if you take care of your own safety.

While I was waiting for everyone to get changed, so maybe like 3 min. I honestly lost track of time, so it isn't certain.

How long did it take to blackout in water?

I've strongly considered this method but have never practiced it. It seems like I could die very easily so it's not really one that could be seriously practiced much anyway. What makes it really attractive to me is the fact that there is nothing that can ever get banned or taken away here and it is one of the few ways that would look like an accident.

ehhh, kind of long. Like 5-6 minutes.
You must be an experienced swimmer to last that long. When I tried this method, I could barely last a minute.

I mean, I do go to swimming lessons thrice a week. I've never attended any competition, but I've turned out pretty good at it. Maybe that's why.

I made a post about a potential method that would kill you the same way that SWB does, but by using nitrous oxide and an airtight seal around your mouth and nose. I'd appreciate any feedback/criticism on it if anyone is interested in taking a look. It would require spending money (I think at most ~$200), but it might be helpful for those that don't have access to a bathtub/pool or don't want to submerge themselves in water.

Thanks

Method. Just to help clarify.
For myself. Caught my interest.

I would hyper ventilate.
( breath in and out fast a bunch )
Maybe push on my chest a bit. ?
Or put a weight on it ?

Get so dizzy and hyper ventilate
Untill I pass out in my tub with water.
So i drown but I'm already knocked out.

Is that the jist of it ?

The body won't wake as your face hits the water or as lungs fill up ?

Thanks and good luck.

Curious about this method now. I've tried wim hof breathing a few times (for beginners, I'm no athlete) and have gotten to the point of tingly fingers but I struggle to hold my breath more than a minute...

Wondering if this method is only for a select few able to hold their breath long enough?

How does this method work? Do you have to hyperventilate and then hold your breath until you pass out into the water? Or do you already put your head underwater beforehand?
