I have been scribed that in the past for sleep, pros I guess would be that it is non addictive, will knock you out. Cons are usually that it is a anti depressant though I don't see why that would be an issue in this context, and the fact that it gives people the mega munchies.

The standard dosage for adults to help with insomnia is 50 to 150mg, some start out with 25mg. Most providers prefer to prescribe it, especially longterm, over Zoplicone as there is some evidence of an increased risk of Alzheimer's disease from ongoing use of Zoplicone.

I took Trazodone for about two years. It worked extremely well for insomnia, but I was always kind of hungover in the morning. It was difficult for me to stop taking it. It actually took two attempts at stopping for me to finally get off of it.
Having said that, my wife takes it now, and she loves it. No sleepiness in the morning, no side effects. It just goes to show you that the same medicine can create completely different results.
However, it did provide tremendous help with insomnia for both of us. If you're prepared to commit to it long-term, it's a good solution.

Personally trazadone doesn't do shit for me; never did. That's just me tho- I know it helps a lot of people! Worth a shot trying :)
I think for my case being put on Zolpidem at 12 has made any other form of sleep impossible (besides weed).

Pros: when it works it works great. Restful sleep and I could function the next day.
Cons: half the time it made me throw up so then it wouldn't work.
