I find it so disgusting and insensitive when pro-life people push toxic positivity, I cannot stand it as well when they force their delusional unsolicited "advice" onto suicidal people, I hate how they believe their so called advice is even wanted when it wasn't even asked for.

The reality is that existence itself is the true problem, all that existence is, is an harmful imposition that just causes unnecessary suffering. Wishing to permanently be free from having the ability to suffer endlessly is all that feels rational to me, death truly is the only relief which is why I cannot stand any toxic positivity about existence.

It will always disgust me how pro-life people invalidate those who want to die with their delusions as after all existence wasn't something desirable in the first place, I find it to be such a horrific tragedy how life even exists at all. In this hellish reality positivity about existence just feels so wrong, it's always delusional and harmful.
I wish there's acceptance towards the fact that existence is nothing but suffering so we can finally have the option to free ourselves from this existence we were burdened with in peace.

Toxic positivity in my opinion is an easy way to divert all the onus off of society, where much of it lies and puts it solely onto the individual, as if we operate in our own bubble unaffected by what goes on around us, which is never the case at all. It also operates as means of protection, ie. Your suicidal because your not positive and in control. While I'm protected from "bad" things because I'm positive and in control my life :)

FuneralCry , if you don't mind me asking , which country do you belong, what is your age, and what is your reason to want to die.

This is so true. Plus there's always this smug condescension that comes with toxic positivity. Just let me be sad goddamn! My sadness is a direct response to the world I experience. Why is it so difficult for people to understand this.

UK, I turn 23 soon and death is all I wish for as existence is undesirable, all that existence ever does is cause suffering so of course I wish to die. Only non-existence is ideal as then existence won't be my problem anymore and I won't have to deal with it, death is the only relief.

I feel you. I agree with you. After reading Better Never to have been book, my brain got fucked up. It was an eye opener book.

Please don't take it the wrong way. I see you are here for past 3 years. That's long. I am planning for my suicide for 5 years but can't accumulate enough courage to do it. Now i am 33. I don't know what i am waiting for.

What is holding you back ??

Because we exist in this anti-suicide society where suicide is purposely made so inaccessible and difficult, suicide really just isn't straightforward and this is shown by all the posts on here of people struggling to die on their own terms.

I agree, I think toxic positivity about life in general is at the core of this society. It's caused so much harm to people who just want to leave this life behind without suffering anymore.
