Ironic. You're the ignorant one. Benzos are greatly helpful. They reduce mental and physical anxiety, and reduce nausea. They're good for SN but you do you.
Im well aware of what benzos do. Are they pain killers for self ingested posion and stomache pain. Sure they might make you feel at ease before you take the SN but that peacefulness is going right out the windoe once the SN takes effect. Benzos wont stop you from feeling incredibly ill. Im not trying to be rude but to dismiss a method after reading half an 8ch thread is poor research. Id rather die while unconcious than puking my brains out. Sorry if said somsthing bsd sbout SN.
Okay so, I'm writing this just for research and harm reduction's sake. I no longer want to die.
Booked an hotel. Fasted for too long, more than 8 hours for sure. Did a stat dose of 30mg of Metoclopramide one hour before, 22 minutes later took 225mg of Zantac and then took ~17g of SN. Tastes like car tires with salt. The taste remains in your mouth.
Around five minutes after taking it I started feeling like puking. Salivated a lot and felt really bad. I finally puked three times.
After 15 minutes without even feeling drowsy when I was supposed to be unconscious already and feeling really really bad, called emergencies.
They came 45 minutes after intake.
Was conscious and felt really bad until I came to the hospital and they drugged me to sleep. They were googling what SN was and how to medicate me.
Woke up with tubes in every hole I have. They said they don't know how i am still alive and that I was so close to death, they wouldn't have bet a cent on me being alive.
I'm still at the hospital with tons of free time, AMA

It's hard to explain... First, a lot of anxiety, then I was kind of mildly dissociated, and felt really really bad, but it's a new feeling for me like I can't describe it, but yeah it was bad. Also, at one point, I was blind. It was the first time I experienced being blind. It lasted until I was in the hospital
Can you please explain what the being blind was like? It sounds scary. Did you just suddenly lose your vision completely? If no one saved you in time, and yet you survived and remained blind, that would of been bad
I don't think there is a lethal dose in the body if one pukes 3x around 5 minutes (and before 15min) after ingestion. My personal hypothesis is that they noticed that he wanted to live (he called the ambulance and openly says he doesn't want to die anymore) and that they tried to scare him. I can not imagine a doctor saying "Oh don't worry nothing serious happened" after a failed suicide attempt. But - no proof- I wasn't there, I am no doctor. Just what I think.
After I failed the tourniqet method the ambulance driver who brought me into the hospital was talking to a nurse explaining what happened to me and I heard him say "it looks a lot worse than it is" and I lost the feeling of touch on the side of my face for about 4 days after that attempt.

I hided my profile because I don't want anyone from outside peeking through my posts since there are friends that know that I've been here. Honestly fuck off if you come here just to say that, I'm just telling my experience with SN and I have more posts here asking a lot of things about SN before doing it, changing my method of ctb from jumping in front of a train to SN thanks to an user on this thread too and me saying that I had a bad experience with SN won't change the fact that someone wants to die. If they want to do so they'll find a way, it doesn't matter if it's SN or jumping from Beachy Head.
And it would be really stupid to make 180 posts on this forum just to end up being a prolife trying to lie to you.
@drakewantstogo I don't know why so many are skeptical of member stories about SN. I would discount a highly theatrical and lengthy one but most are somber and concise and follow, as does yours, numerous postings.
I hope you don't mind that I included you in list of both successful and unsuccessful attempts.
From my research of possible successes, only one mentioned taking a stat dose. All others giving such info and leaving either did 48 or 24 hours. There's another failed one with stat.
I'm glad that you haven't suffered anything permanent.
It's's also possible that you're prone to vomiting for whom no oral method would be recommended. That's in PPHb.
If people on here are saying not to speculate or question the validity of someone's attempt then that should apply to all, so you shouldn't have to defend yourself to anyone. I'm sorry that you're having to do that. I wish you the best.
I think that it's ok to speculate and evaluate the veracity of a story. But probably not the best etiquette to accuse someone of trolling in their own thread. I happen to believe @drakewantstogo.

From the current climate of things on here, this is my pov, there isn't room for that. Hell I don't know anymore what the right etiquette is on here. I'm being honest. I try to be mindful of the way I come across as much as I can to others. Anyway, sorry I know this is the OP thread.
What repurcussions did you get from the hospital from telling them you tried to ctb? Didn't they want to put you in a psych facility for a while after you got better? Did they keep you under some sort of special security?

From the hospital not much, they only wanted one familiar to stay with me 24/7. I was already seeing a psychologist so they added a psychiatrist to that, nothing more.
How can you be sure that amitriptyline will knock you out before you experience a painful heart attack? It's not a benzodiazepine, and not designed as to put you in a sleep.
If you are awake at the time when its effects start, you will also experience a very severe serotonin syndrome as well.
I overdosed on it without benzos and anti emetics, and I feel asleep after 5 minutes, but the dumb this is I woke up(have no memory of this) went to knock on my moms door and collapsed, then I had a seizure as my mom told me and didnt breath or slow breathing and went to icu they found my empty boxes of it in my cabinet and pumped my stomach and put me in coma. Then I woke up afterwards and thought I had brain damage as the ambulance had taken 30 minutes to get to me and I could not form the words I wanted to say and my hands were shaking and I could not hold a cup. But that passed after a few days now. If I hadnt been found I would be dead they said. So I like this method it didnt feel bad at all, the crazy thing is my tongue vent numb after I took them, I ingested 84 pills 50 mg. Didnt even grind them. If I had duck taped my legs and mouth I would have been dead by now, so thats what I will do next time, either this again or SN.
Amitryptiline is helping medicine for sleep actually and it gives cardiac arrest(death cause) I think.
I'm gathering more Amitriptyline.... it actually helps me tremendously with sleep issues, PTSD, and migraines for real... legitimate prescription even if I never CTB, I actually do like how it helps at least make me a whole lot calmer and sleep a lot better truly and honestly.... however, I'm just now learning that I could have CTB with it also... Nice.
GABA might be the best to add to it, even if there is too much Serotonin produced from OD with Amitryptiline.........
in my non-scientist humble opinion LOL....
Neurotransmitter tests show that GABA needs serotonin to function properly. Normally, GABA increases and acts through a negative feedback mechanism to reduce elevated excitatory neurotransmitters. However, this feedback mechanism requires the neuromodulating effects of serotonin.
So if there's too much serotonin created by OD amitryptiline....
then if I take counteracting amounts of GABA that will neutralize (at least partly?) the Serotonin.... shouldn't that help minimize the Severe Serotonin effects (possibly)??
I'm happy to receive feedback/input from people on their knowledge, experiences, etc...
GABA is fairly cheap, Natural, OTC, no prescription.... I like to take it when I'm having PTSD flashbacks or trying to lower my anxiety/frustration levels and it works decently for about 4 hours with just one pill...
Maybe adding GABA will counteract any Serotonin issues??
My idea is to combine SN with Amitriptyline.... watered down (not stacks of pills but a liquid form) with lots of GABA since I'm out of Benzos...
Any thoughts? I don't claim to be a scientist who knows for sure, it's just novice ideation at this point...
I'd be grateful to hear from anyone who knows better, whether from experience or knowledge?

Wow, thank you so much for sharing~ Smart idea to duct tape your own legs/ankles!
I'm going to borrow your smart idea and gently wrap my ankles when I ctb so I don't wander outside in a stupor... Lol, my poor body will be confused but that will help counteract its damn survival instinct mode.... *sigh*
(what the heck am I surviving for?! more suffering.... hmmm, no thanks)
@purplemoon Don't take my word too serious, but you may look at cyproheptadine. It's an antihistaminic with additional antiserotonergic(receptor antagonism) properties at relatively high doses. Being used for serotonin syndrome. Also it's cheap and doesn't require any doctor prescription afaik.
But be careful. I don't know how it will interact with AM overdose.
