If done correctly it will work, there are many medically confirmed papers on people CTB using it. Search back on the forum, for people who failed there were specific reasons and in many cases people posting their experience were never heard from again may they rest in peace.

To anyone reading this and thinking it sounds like a more accessible alternative to actual cyanide: this case report suggests it's very drawn out and painful. You will experience all the horrible symptoms of cyanide poisoning slowly setting in over the course of hours, and not actually die until at least a day later. With slow, gradual hypoxia, the risk of noticeable brain and other organ damage or even becoming a vegetable if found or aborted is uncomfortably high.

We describe a case of deliberate self-poisoning by a 39-year-old woman resulting in cyanide poisoning 11 hours later which was successfully treated by repeated boluses of sodium nitrite and thiosulphate. The half-life of conversion of acetonitrile was 40 hours and harmful blood cyanide levels persisted for over 24 hours after ingestion.

I hope for OP's sake they aren't found until many days later, assuming they don't choose to get help when the symptoms set in...

Thanks for the heads up. I live alone, so i won't be found quickly. But this is definitely scary . I will take a look at the article.

just read the article that @win32 posted and it seems like a rough way to go if even possible. It seems like you will vomit after ingesting and slowly and painfully deteriorate after that assuming you don't call an emergency service.

I am glad he posted that because at first glance before any research I thought this could be a viable option. I think the hard thing about CTB is that it hopefully can be as quick as possible (within a day). Clearly the study shown is prolonged because she ended up getting help but for your sake I hope there is a faster method. However, if you don't mind the suffering (I'm sure you're doing it enough right now) I wish you good luck. I also hope you don't have thin walls or live in a house with no close neighbors in case it's audibly painful and someone comes knocking.

Still haven't ingested acetonitrile yet. Afraid of the pain it will bring. Been procrastinating. But I will update you guys as soon, as I take the poison.

I will delay my ctb until tomorrow. The pain factor of this method is valid and freaking me out. My goal is to get used to the idea of the excruciating pain, this method will bring.

Good methods are the ones that get the deed done in 15 minutes or less.

Example:

Shotgun through mouth = seconds
CO = 2 to 3 minutes
Hanging = 3 to 5 minutes
Inert Gas = 3 to 5 minutes
Nembutal = 10 to 15 minutes (in some cases)

Update: to avoid the pain, I did not go through with it. I ordered Sodium Cyanide online. I lied and said I was using it for my fake business. It's coming in the mail today. I'm nervous.
