Discussion To end suffering is a human need

We do not choose what we face. When it comes to suffering we do not choose how much we can endure.

I have suffered to a point I found myself unable to function in life...

I don't choose how to no longer suffer unbearable pain I just choose to no longer suffer it. People end up in different places answering the very same need.

For me that's to ctb for others it may be to go on a bus and go to another town.

Of course the simplest solutions are tried first but when that's not available I don't envy any destination or outcome I just know I cannot deny myself this basic human need.

I agree, we are forced to exist in a world that has unlimited potential for suffering. Life is so unfair and it is horrifying to think that there is so much pain being experienced in the world. We are all human and there is only so much we can cope with. I see it as being cruel how the society tries to force us to live, suicide is a human right and people should be able to exit peacefully at a time of their own choosing.

I wish the right to die was more respected in our society so that we could end unnecessary suffering.
