When using a belt or rope, you don't actually suffocate, you are cutting off the blood supply from your carotid arteries. Look at the hanging method.

Some people have succeeded with a belt, but it is less garanteed, I'd say be careful. A rope is a lot better. I don't want you to suffer any harm.Similar threads
