How painful / uncomfortable is it and for how long?

from the videos ive seen, it is incredibly painful. you need to be able to overcome all of your survival instincts in order to pull it off. very likely that you will suffocate in your own blood if you cant hit any artery. im not a medical expert so i can't describe the specifics unfortunately, but i Do Not recommend even trying it.

Pain would be extreme but if you actually managed to cut an artery (unlikely) you would pass out within seconds. RIP Charlie Kirk

i tried and it fucking suckkkeddd maybe my SI was too strong, although my main goal at the time was just to harm myself, i was too whacked out to focus on CTB. but like my body physically wouldnt let me get far enough anyway. its also one of those ones where if you succeed, it sucks, and if you fail, it also sucks because you cant play it off as anything else

wait for a better option. maybe by the time you find it, you get a little bit better too. just please don't try to cut your throat. i wanted to add that it also has a very high failure rate, like the wrist method. unless you actually hit the necessary artery to take you out, you will just bleed and be in a lot of pain and most likely end up with nasty scars and even more guilt.

Do you have rope? Hanging, even partial seems less cruel than throat cutting. If you want to cut I heard the femoral artery in the thigh bleeds out in 30 sec - 1 min unlike the carotid that takes 4-5 minutes but unsure how you can even hit it I would assume it is deep

yeah i dont think id be able to reach the one in my thigh but im considering hanging.
I dont have rope but i have a jump rope made of thick plastic

I would take a look at the hanging threads, maybe partial hanging could work for you with a jump rope? When I attempted hanging with a thin rope it hurt extremely bad and failed, so I had to buy a thicker one to try again. I would look into the threads, I saw an interesting thread about the night night method and a different version of it but I forgot what it's called and that one said to use shoe laces. I assume if you came here you have made up your mind and thought through your decision so I wish you the best in whatever you decide to do, hopefully less painful for your own sake

You have to go way deeper than youd think. When you feel your pulse on your neck with your finger it feels so close but in reality you damn near need to cut your head half off.
