Hello to whomever is reading this. I'm reposting my CTB plan multiple times so it can reach more people..

I've been going back and forth between moving away from my current situation and suicide, and I just wanted to see if you all think this would be a successful plan for the latter (I will only kill myself as a last resort). I'm going back to my hometown in a few weeks, and my godmother (in her 90s) has a gun under her bed for self-defense. I'm pretty sure it's a double action .357 magnum. I would pack a bag, bike from her house to a state park nearby (which has very tall cliffs), get to a relatively secluded area, and shoot myself facing the cliffs backward so that I fall some feet to ensure my death. I also might test out the gun beforehand, but I'm a bit worried someone will hear the gunshot and report it. I know my body and bike will be found relatively soon, but I'm pretty much past the point of caring about that. I know there are some variables in this plan that I cannot control, but I think it should get the job done. What do you think?

My hometown is up north so I'm afraid the gun might misfire in the cold. Does anyone know how I can try to prevent this?

No idea about guns. Does your family know you are at risk of CTB? They may work out what's happening and try and stop you. Guess if you fire two shots (one to test and one to CTB) it might not change much. Don't people often put ammo in a separate place?

Good plan. A bullet to the head is arguably the most lethal method there is.
And youll be fine in the cold just keep it dry.
Are you experienced shooting guns? If not definitely shoot it a couple times first and make sure you're prepared to not flinch when you shoot. Even if someone reports it you'll be ctb anyways.

Im planning on using a gun as well.

They are, but I honestly think they forgot about this gun posing a threat. My godmother had a traumatic experience with a break-in, so even though she's in her 90s, she still has a gun under her bed for self defense. Since she's older, she doesn't have a safe or anything to lock it in (her eyes are also going so that would make it significantly harder to access). I haven't had eyes on this gun since last year, but I doubt she would hide the ammo in a separate place. Thanks for bringing my attention to that though, she certainly could have.

Thanks for the tips. I've shot a .22 before but I need to double check if the gun I'm planning on using is fully functioning, since it probably hasn't been used in years.
