Since my last few methods have been proven to be a no-go, i've been thinking about an easier way to CTB, easier in the sense of accessibility.

I want to jump off the Yosemite waterfall. Or at the very least, a cliff in Yosemite. I have a few other places if Yosemite is a no-go, Like the skyline in Lake Tahoe or a cliff in Mission peak, hell maybe even the helicopter tour in New York. I want to enjoy the view in my last few moments.

Either way, tips on how to get over my SI and make the process easier are very appreciated.

hi! i've been considering getting belligerently drunk/high and jumping too — my only concern is it not being successful bc the consequences of that would be miserable tbh, plus it won't be painless at all even if you're successful. a beautiful view like that would be soooo nice though

A skyscraper head first would be pretty nice but stuff like 10 floor apartments etc just dont feel like they will leave much of an impact, more likely to just live in a bed with a tube while you cant even think a coherent thought

Thats one of my biggest fears. I hope that when the day comes, I land in a way that crushes my skull and doesn't leave me a vegetable.

Oh I get you 100%. I have a reoccurring dream of jumping out of the helicopter tour in New York and just admiring the view.

10 floor apartment wouldn't be enough height to have a good chance IMO. Sorry I didn't mean to reply my whole post to you, I fucked up on the formatting lol. Just ignore the rest.

Honestly I just don't even know and I hate having to do research. I haven't researched anything lately and I bet google is probably useless now, filled with restrictions and help warnings. Back in the day, like mid 2000's to 2015, I was able to search tons of stuff on google. But nowadays everyone and their aunt has a smartphone and access to the internet, so they have to make things safer for the masses. I always just used my desktop computer and I still do - I just buy a new one once in a while, I refuse to break my routine.

All I know is that I'm going avoid bridges in my search. I hate those stories of neurotypical people complaining about the jumper who inconvenienced them on a work day. Plus with bridges, I've read lot's of failed attempts from places like San Francisco. I live more up north though, and I'd rather have hard pavement at the bottom. There have been times in the past through most of my 36 years where I've been at a high point and looked down, and thought about it, even when I wasn't having active thoughts.

I knew a paratrooper whose chute failed to deploy. He hit the ground hard but it didn't kill him, just messed his back up really bad. There were a bunch of prisoners who threw themselves head-first from upper floors and I don't know of a single one who died. But they were all messed up from then on!
IMHO choose a different method.

it's not the same as jumping but I was in a horrific car accident that killed my friend and the injuries I have to live with to this day are awful, and waking up in the hospital and being in a coma was very scary. I wouldn't if I were you. Plus you could hurt someone else and I'm sure that's not something you want.

I want to go backpacking in Yosemite and just "fall", surviving a fall in yosemite is nearly impossible. i also love it there and would love for that to be my last view.
