Seems to be a mixed consensus on this method. What are your thoughts? There's a bridge that's 900ft I know of that seems perfect for ctb. I assume going head first off of this would result in a very quick death. Though I assume the worst part of all of it would be the free fall just because god knows what would come into your head at that point. I would prefer shotgun to the head or that "N" stuff I keep hearing about but that's not on the table for me. Thoughts on this?

Just do what you gotta do.jumping terrifies me. i suppose it wouldn't be bad going down but i wouldn't be able to get myself to actually jump. i have anxiety jumping off of diving boards at pools lol.
It's definitely not my method of choice but it's all I seem to have to work with.
That's another thing. God knows if I'd be able to muster up the courage to take the plunge. Fuck.

It is a good method since you die after or during the fall. 10 floors is the minimum.
The hardest part of this method is to have the courage to jump.

Music is a good idea, never thought of that. Might even help to inspire the jump, if it was at the right place in the song

i have mad respect for anyone who chooses jumping as their method. jumping is scary for me and SI would probably take over me before i even reach the top of a building or a cliff. if it ever was my last option available, i'd probably get a little bit drunk or high beforehand to hype myself up and overcome any form of SI.

I envy those with the courage for jumping, but I fear this method personally, I have a fear of heights and would fear somehow surviving it. Maybe those that managed to go through with it just got so desperate to escape from this existence.

Jumping is my preferred choice but the SI will be a bitch. Think would have to go off backwards.I try to practice jumping in my head. Conjuring up the exact way I'll feel. I'm very good at putting myself in that space, down to the flying bugs I'll inevitably encounter lol (I bought one of those hats with the netting over it so they won't distract me).
My biggest issue is not having the time to work myself up to do it because some Johnny Wannabe-Hero will try and stop me.
The place I've chosen is a bridge over a humongous lake. I can't swim and it's 62 feet deep in the middle.
I've watched videos of the drive and the railing is about as high as the hood of a car. Getting over wouldn't be an issue.
But I know me and I'll need a few minutes to just... To just be.
I'll definitely need to drink beforehand and the bridge is long enough that it has those crossovers in case you need to turn around. I'll have to use one of those while I'm up there to take a few swigs.
Now that I think about it, I can just leave the car parked there. The last thing I want to do is injure someone or take them with me, so driving while intoxicated is out of the question.
Another hurdle is finding the strength to drive the 8 hours to the bridge from my house. I can barely find the energy to walk from one end of my house to the other in order to water my plants.
The doorbell rings and I don't have the strength to reach for my phone to look at the camera and see who it is. I lay there, staring at a random spot on the wall until they leave.
Walking to the mailbox takes a Herculean effort, so I have no idea how to prepare for an 8-hour drive.
I've spent the better part of the morning researching how to buy SN and I've come up empty. I've even looked into creating a "business" so I can buy it from the wholesalers who only sell to commercial businesses. The paperwork involved gave me a headache.
I'm just rambling now so I'll stop. But I'm glad I found this place. It helps so much to be able to say these things in a matter-of-fact way without having to justify or explain why I can no longer be here.

When I was planning on jumping years ago I figured I'd need a lot of alcohol and cocaine before the drop. I imagine the fall is terrifying and probably instant regret (regardless of how many times you decided to do it). The outcome is still death though, probably a pretty quick one. Assuming the location is right— high enough, etc. I'd want to come to peace with that terrifying fall before going through with it but that's just me. And to be so high and drunk I don't even realize what was happening, lol.Maybe only with really lots of drugs, like ketamine would be an option. But only if the world really is going to shit and now better options
Jumping would be prefered. I would jump if I knew it was 95%+ guaranted to be fatal and if I could defeat the SI.

i would LOVE to just yeet myself off a bridge instead of jumping through hoops and trying to source things for a *peaceful* death, but I am absolutely terrified of the seconds between jumping and landing/dying

Jumping was my go to choice, until I was looking at the drop paralyzed.

What worries me about jumping, asides from surviving obviously, is standing up there and hesitating, and then someone calling the police. The good thing about it is that once you've jumped there's no going back, so SI is only an issue before taking that final step. With SN for example you can still be saved if SI kicks in after you've taken it.

I could have written this. It is fascinating how the instincs kick in when life is in danger.
Once I wanted to die per train through decapitation. When the train was near (20 seconds) I ran without thinking off the tracks. Weeks of mental preparation simply gone in seconds.
