The first problem with your analogy is that donating spare food is not the same as being a supplier of a death drug, and God only knows how many years I'd be imprisoned for. Secondly, the A$1,500 it cost is a lot of money for me, especially for something that isn't even readily available to replace it.

N is not a perfect solution. A former member failed in an attempt because she was overwhelmed by the taste. She had to purchase a second batch of N to try again with a modified method, this time successfully. May she rest in peace.

The availability of solutions will come and go. Right now, it's definitely a low point. Tomorrow could be different. If it were me, I would start researching a variety of alternatives like F.

Thank you for saying this. It's hard to have perspective within an echo chamber. My life has been marked by torment, desperation and isolation. There are probably luckier people out there.

I didn't make any suggestions as to what people should do with their supply.

Was I suggesting that people needed to eat their extra food or give it away? Spend the 5k or give it away? No.

If someone is desperate for something, I don't understand why posters chime in to say they have it.

But obviously people can do and say what they want.

I think for most of us with no or little medical knowledge and access N is the "dream". I wish I was in lab or phrama or medical field, be it people medical or vet. I think the possibilities are endless for medical personals who knows how to do whatever and whatnot. Being in a lab or working at a lab supplies place, pharma, medical stuff they all have more access to things than average people. I could be wrong but from what I understand people with medical knowledge has so many options and access which opens up a lot of other alternatives and many of which can be relatively peaceful and less painful but then ofcourse peaceful and pain has different meanings to different people. I mean like knowledge about anatomy, how things work and a auto syringe/syringe pump with having access to certain medications could open up doors to so many alternatives. Jealousy isn't a thing for me but oh I wish I had some medical knowledge to figure this out without so much complications and uncertainty.

I couldn't agree more. I am absolutely envious of anyone who is in possession of N. To no longer have the extra worry and stress of finding which painful or uncomfortable method to use is priceless unto itself. To have on hand a simple way to just drink a small drink and peacefully go to sleep in minutes would be wonderful.

If you or anyone else purchased it from D, then you really are lucky.

I know this because the police in the UK confiscated my two bottles in the summer. They didn't have the facilities to test for N at my local station or anywhere close, so it went to West Midlands Police instead, which is at least 100 miles away.

I had a choice between signing a community resolution order or the police handing my case over to the Crown Prosecution Service. My arresting officer said, because I had admitted possesion of N and we've tested it and it has come back as pentobarbital, it'll be an easy case for them. So, I signed their stupid form.

Anyone with N from D, it is legit pentobarbital. I used to stare at my bottles thinking maybe I had been scammed and it was just water or something.

Don't tell anyone else and hide it well and not in the fucking fridge!

I realise that almost all of those people are now gone and the narrative has shifted to envying those in possession of it. The details are in the PPH. From memory, the correct procedure includes a need for fasting beforehand and antiemetics. People talk about coating the tongue in honey, using a nose clip and/or adding Stevia to deal with the unpleasant taste, with a small amount of alcoholic beverage afterwards to handle the aftertaste.

Sleep comes quickly. The amount of time for death varies enormously, but overnight would generally be ample. One advantage is that if the process is interrupted, usually there are few ill-effects.

Abbott Laboratories used to make Nembutal tablets, nicknamed yellow jackets. They were discontinued in 1999, replaced with benzodiazepine. I imagine it would take a lot to cause fatality (20?). But still, a literal peaceful pill. The miracles of 1930s technology.

While I know we all crave for 'N' as the 'gold standard' and I can't help but feel a pang of envy when I hear someone has it, I don't think it's entirely fair to call them 'privileged.'

People who live their lives without feeling the need to obtain N may be the most 'privileged'. Although I suspect you may well be right in viewing them as 'delusional', they likely suffered less.

ANYONE who finds life so bad that they are willing to forcibly end it can't be having it 'easy'. Those who are accepted at assisted suicide clinics (the most guaranteed place of receiving N) 'possibly' have it the worst because even the 'proffessionals' agree that their lives are at the intolerable stage. Still, I do see your point that living somewhere with more progressive ideas would be more privileged in this regard.

However, those who obtain it themselves are taking an enormous risk. Although it may be easier to obtain in some countries, as far as I'm aware I think it's still illegal isn't it? Plus, there's the worry of not being scammed trying to get it in the first place or it being intercepted in the post. I guess there's an element of luck or 'privilege' if they receive their goods but the fact is- they paid a shit load of money and took a big risk and it either worked or it didn't- in which case- they are likely under greater scrutiny by the authorities. If it's confiscated, it's an illegal substance which I'm guessing possibly means a criminal record and possibly being committed involuntarily- maybe? I don't know but it wouldn't surprise me.

Sorry to sound aggressive. I guess I just remember what a friend asked me- whether I believed in luck or whether we make our own luck. Just mean to say- people who have obtained N personally didn't buy it at their local convenience store- no questions asked. They didn't get it prescribed from their local doctor. They took a big risk and hoped for the best. They then have to trust that it's the genuine article... They may be in a better position to obtain it but I'm sure it wasn't/ isn't easy.

Also, I hate to say it but animals don't ask for N. WE make the decision for them- sometimes I fully expect that it's financially motivated as well- think of all the un-adopted animals in shelters that get euthanized. Some of them likely are in terrible pain and would want to end it but some wouldn't. Really, when we kill animals, it is ALWAYS murder- because we haven't got their consent. In the majority of cases- yes- it's a 'mercy killing' but still... Also fully appreciate that you will argue that all life is bad because all life inevitably suffers but that isn't the view of ALL animals and ALL humans. Sometimes we take life because it suits us- whether the creature wants to live or not.

I had someone like this DM me and basically say only people in 'dire' need should be able to get N. That if you buy it but don't plan to use it immediately you depriving someone who 'really needs' it. There are a million things wrong with this but one in particular that pisses me off is they don't seem to understand how having N helps people keep going. People buy it because it eases a lot of anxiety, not necessarily because they want to use it straight away.

In my perfect world, everyone over 20 would be able to get N on a prescription after a settled upon period of counselling but as things are, it's a capitalist market. Those who can afford the risk take it, those that can't don't. And there's no point complaining or hating on people for a system they can't control.

We've seen situations like this when supply & demand goes haywire in unstable times. Just in the past few years, we've seen people fighting like seagulls over toilet paper (talk about class!) and used car prices sometimes exceeding that of equivalent new cars. In even worse scenarios, people resort to theft and violence. People only appear civilised because they are conditioned to conform to our sophisticated systems of trade and law enforcement... until the systems break down.

In summary: it sucks when there isn't enough of something to go around. It can be a tragedy of circumstance, or a result of bad policy. But it is also a test of character. It's not necessary to view other people as the enemy, and all of us are just doing the best with what we have.
