Those who act like people are ill for wanting death

It's just so cruel and insensitive to me when people act like others are ill for wanting death, for me wanting to die is a response to existence rather than an illness and I'd just always prefer to not exist no matter what, existence itself is the true problem.

I see existence as the most torturous, dreadful abomination that just causes harm and suffering, it's not an illness wanting to escape from and find peace from this, I don't understand those who act like those who never want to suffer ever again are ill, I don't see the illness in not wanting to be burdened with this unnecessary existence just to decay, be tortured by old age and die anyway with no limit as to how much one can suffer, existence just feels like a mistake to me.

I understand, to me both propositions--that life is inherently worth living, and that it isn't--should be treated with equal respect, but instead we're often treated as either mentally incompetent or as criminals.
