This story has put me off doing the hanging method.

My plan atm is to go in the garage at 2am, lock the side door, and hang myself (partial suspension). I'm only conflicted on if I should leave a suicide note on my bed saying where I am. It's risky but I know no one will be looking for me in the middle of the night.

People don't realise how damaging methods involving oxygen deprivation are. Messing it up and you make your life even worse.

I don't see what drives people to do hanging or CO method, these freak me out personally. There are method with much less side effects, and I think this is why SN became so popular.

I agree with you that death by oxygen deprivation takes a long time and therefore there is a lot of time to be discovered and to survive with severe brain damage. With sn, however, you also die by oxygen deprivation and is therefore no less dangerous than hanging and carbon monoxide.

Pretty much any method you choose deprives you of oxygen. Some methods are just faster than others.

For a sudden death with hanging, do like in the old days, short drop, sudden stop.

No not in every method death occurs due to oxygen deprivation. Anything that physically destroys the brain like a head shot in the brain stem is the cause of death not oxygen deprivation.

When taking sn, the hemoglobin is converted to methemoglobin and the methemoglobin can not bind oxygen, it is nothing but dead by suffocation. The brain suffocates slowly until it is dead. If the process is interrupted before it is dead, the person will be left with brain damage.

Accidents happen no matter how careful you try to be. You could get discovered too soon and end up like the guy in the link posted, or what you're using to hang yourself might not support your weight for long enough, or survival instinct could kick in with partial. Of course these are just the worse case scenarios, enough people have success with it, since it's one of the most popular methods.

You don't need a credit card to purchase N, A accepts money orders through Western Union or Moneygram and occasionally Paypal (you could use a prepaid card or debit). You also don't need a credit card to purchase Bitcoin.

rather be safe than sorry. maybe hide the letter but easy enough they will find it. or maybe bring it in the garage with you.

He was "saved" a friend that received his text message. Being found is the greatest risk with all methods. Privacy should be part of any plan or this could happen.
