This website is the most supportive and non judgemental community I have ever been on. I am happy when I am here.

I have made so many wonderful friends here and interesting people around the world who have been nothing but kind and sooo understanding. People here on SS have listened to me whereas everyone else in the real world or popular online mental health or women's fourms just ignored, dismissed and constantly been hostile towards me whenever I reached out.

Women on online depression support fourms builled me whereas people on SS actually listened to me and were always understanding

Nobody on the real world understands my problems and can't relate to them. My family don't listen at all , older women on online women support fourms bully and act hostile towards me and no one else understands. Nobody understands what it feels like to be so disappointed in your life, to be that rejected girl now woman and always struggling to fit in or belong.

If the site gets taken down I will be all alone in the world. These people who want the site taken down have no idea the damage they are doing to people like myself . These are the same people who do not help outsiders like me and constantly bully us and exclude us and now they want to be holier than thou.

These people have done absolutely nothing to help improve the mental health system in society or social inequalities but they want to act holier than thou.

the server was not responding on the old domain and the SS's twitter account announced the change of the domain. I think that was done in order to stop unwanted public attention after the NYT article which could cause some people participate in banning the cite.

For many months and years people have been demanding the site get shut down, it's mainly parents who lost their kids to suicide after discovering their children used their site and also other older families who have lost loved ones. In America the New York Times did a story about a teenage boy who used this site during the pandemic and lockdown and killed himself. His parents blame the site and demand it shut down

In the UK where I live a Conservative Members of Parliament wife hanged herself during the lockdown. The MP demanded the suicide websites be shut down because before the wife died her search history showed this site. It eventually came out the MP was a corrupt piece of sh*t involved a big scandal which led to the wife ending the life. The MP was involved in a financial lobbying scandal which the wife was also connected to. The MP ended up having to resign his seat as it was a big scandal in the UK.

We live in a world where people want to show how moral they are but do nothing practical to actually help people. I am absolutely terrified if this site gets shut down because if it does get shut down in the because I am all alone. Whenever I open up about my anxieties and whatever is upsetting everyone treats so badly.

-My family do not understand me at all and do not want to listen. My close university friends in my law class stopped talking to me when I mentioned I was suicidal and another distanced themselves from me.

-On Reddit men make fun of me for being a virgin in my 20s calling me "unattractive" for being a virgin for so long

- I got builled on a depression support forum my older woman when I said I wished I died from covid19 instead of the good people of the world. These women were open about their suicide attempts and sh*tty marriages but builled me when I opened up about my feelings in lockdown.

- A couple of months I went on the Internet again asking for advice on how to embrace my features. This time I went British mothers for advice on how to embrace my black hair and brown eyes and overcome this insecurity. I posted in the black women's section hoping I will find black women who managed to overcome this issue.

The women let me down. The comments were a mixture of unhelpful, judgemental and useless really.

I had plenty white women joining in the conservation. One white woman with blonde hair she said how being pale skinned comes with issues. She talked about her sunburn marks which she experiences when it is hot. She talked how bad her legs look when it's winter. She said she had experienced unwanted attention because of her blonde hair. I understand she meant well but i was furious.

I was so mad I even wrote saying "
"I would rather have all the annoying inconveniences of having blonde hair and blue eyes comes than live with the lifetime of rejection and ignorance that comes with having brown skin"

The black women were just as bad. I received comments from black women accusing me of being a "troll" and saying "no black woman writes like that."

Other black women even criticised me saying "you do realise black woman have other eye colours not just brown." I pointed out to her that the only black woman who have different eye colours are mixed race women( mixed race is not black that is why it called mixed race). I am talking about mixed race I have met with different eye colours. If you are dark black woman or just a brown woman like me majority of us have brown eyes.

I really f*cking hate this arseholes, morons trying to get the site shut down because these are SAME piece of sh*t people who do absolutely nothing to improve the broken mental health care system in society or address social inequalities in society which play a role in harming an individuals mental health and wellbeing.

I wish that we lived in a society where our right to die is respected. If someone wants to leave this world then that is their choice, nobody should be forced to live against their wishes until old age. We will all die eventually after all. If something happens to the site then there is nothing that we can do. Everything will end someday and in this life so many things can go wrong that are out of our control. That is what life is like in general. It is a very depressing world that we live in.

The availability of information about suicide methods is main opposition against the site. People feel threatened by the idea of suicidal people coming together and respecting their decision to die so will always oppose the sites existence.

I just feel so over the edge. I am getting fed generally of seeing hypocritical grieving families who lost their children to suicide push their agenda on society. When these are the same parents who never cared to listen to their children when they are alive so blame everyone ie social media companies, the Internet, the website but they never look at themselves as parents. It is just a really relaxing tea that has an opioid effect. There are all different strains. People use it to manage depression, pain, anxiety, sleep problems and many use it to come off hard drugs. There are loads of different strains (much like cannabis) that have varying properties. My favourite strain is Red Borneo because it makes me feel calmer.

There is also media hype. News agencies want dramatic headlines and stories. People who oppose this site are being used by the media.

Personally I just want the means of certain death to be readily available to me. I'm not looking for help.

Maybe some people are looking for help. I can't imagine what that help would look like.

A lot of parents don't listen to their children when they express their feelings even the most loving parents are guilty of this behaviour. For example In the past I have opened about how birthdays depress me because they are a reminder of my lack of achievements in life. My family didn't want to listen

I spent my birthday on Friday pretending to be happy and my family actually believed it. One family even said " this is the first birthday I see you happy you're always complaining about your birthday"
If my family f*cking listened in the 1st place they would know why I hate it when my birthday comes.
The problem with most parents they are f*cking arrogant. It's their arrogance that makes them believe they are good parents who know their kids well.

Most of parents whose kids committed suicide they never knew their children in the first place so they blame the internet and demand the government do x y z.

In the UK there was this father whoose 13 year girl committed suicide. Before she died she looked at self harm images on Instagram. Her father was on the BBC news demanding instragram implent all these changes. The girl who died we know absolutely nothing about her and her life before the suicide all the father did was blame social media and demanded the UK government do something. That family were so irritating on the TV

That is so cool. I am lover of tea myself. I love drinking hemp tea but it is so hard to experiment with new flavours because UK drugs laws are bullsh* t.

In the UK hemp products are legal but the THC must be 0.2% or lower, anything higher is illegal and can be confiscated by the police. THC is a controlled substance under our drug laws. In the UK you are not allowed to grow hemp, you need a licence for that from the home office. The home office made it hard for people to come into the UK a hemp licence forget it.

So when buying hemp tea I tend to buy all my teas in the UK from a company with a good national reputation. I really wanted to buy this beautiful earl grey hemp tea from Canada but it would have go through UK customs which is very strict with its testing.

When SS was down last week, I looked for SS on TOR and I couldn't find it. I thought I read somewhere that SS was on TOR?

I guess you're right too. But sometimes i feel like many parents don't even try to help their kids but when commit suicide, the parents want to blame everyone else. I might be wrong and maybe biased because of my personal experience. And obviously not everyone is like that. But i've seen many cases of the same. Where the kid's future could have been completely different is only their parents listened to them

The way society and the the internet is set up is that anything related to death or suicide is so highly monitored, taboo and restricted. So when suicidal people actually find a good, safe space to talk, people who aren't suicidal and don't understand what it's like will think it's horrible, unethical and think it shouldn't exist. Then instead of seeking to understand and help the people, all they know how to do is spam the suicide hotline, a hotline that has a reputation of barely helping anyone.
So in conclusion, non suicidal don't actively go out of their way to help suicidal people, and they also look down on and seek to remove suicidal peoples only safe space.
