Good on them to have died, couple of us go blue in the face saying there is RISK, not that nobody died. People die of falling over in the bathroom, that doesn't mean I'm throwing a banana peel on the floor and hoping for the best.
Totally agree with you. Thinking abr the risk of failure and SI would possibly be the reason why I would not go for jumping ... The thought is scary enough for me not to try the method ...guess one needs to be really brave or impulsive to try that. Hope I had the balls for it. Just hope the OP has a well researched plan

40 to 50 feet is definitely not high enough, you'll most likely end up surviving with serious injuries. The height should be at least 150 feet (46 metres) which is about 10 to 15 stories in a building. Read this for more information.

If there aren't any places with sufficient height to jump from then I strongly recommend finding another method. There's lots of helpful information on this site :)

I am waiting, I will go look at the bridge in the AM when is warmer. Tonight was not the night but soon.

The height I am not exactly sure. Prolly 55 feet. I know you cannot control how you fall but if I put extra weight near my head, then the chances of hitting head first are prolly higher right.
Honestly I wouldn't do that but of course it's completely your choice. You're survival instinct unconsciously might correct your body to stop it landing head first which is what mine did, in theory it sounds simple but it's not quite that easy, just don't want you ending up crippled or worse that's all.

Hey, so I am new here and just looking for a bit of support. I have put all actions into motion and tonight is hopefully going to be the night. The move is simple. I am going to walk to a high bridge after midnight. Climb up the railing and fall. If done right I imagine it will be fairly quick but if is pain I have earned it. I like this website, and wish had found it sooner.

So upon inspection and further looking into the bridges nearby the one I have chosen is 161 ft tall. I was way off on how tall these bridges were though as the other is about maybe 80 ft.

So I checked out another bridge is 161 ft tall.

Is jumping the only solution? Have you looked at other methods that might have a higher success rate and less risk to long term physical problems?

If you jump off the bridge here in this area, you die. There is no recovery. Not everyone succeeds on the Golden Gate bridge. New River Gorge and you are a cadaver. No even trying to bring you back.
